PSA: Didgio Is Dead

I came to the unfortunate discovery last week that COTD's recent sister startup Didgio has suddenly disappeared off the internet.

Didgio was a new site that the COTD group launched late last year, which was going to be their digital good site. Most of you would have heard of it through the $3 Skyrim deal, or maybe one of the music deals from around the same time.

The reason this matters is, if you're like me and, you didn't instantly redeem your Steam key, or download your music, it it all now inaccessible.

According to Google Cache, it was up until about a month ago, but now it's down and showing no signs of returning.

I've reached out to COTD support in the hope of getting my Steam key still, but am yet to hear anything concrete from them.
Just thought I should warn other OzBargainers….

  • I remember thinking after I got like 5+ skyrim codes that this site would probably flunk and screenshot all of them :P Hopefully they don't illegally sell the ones that owners hadn't activated!

  • omg they've still got my Skyrim key too

  • Any update from CoTD?

    • I managed to get my key out of them.
I sent them a support ticket & after a week of email chasey, they sent me a key that activated no problem!

  • They refunded me the money :-(

  • Thanks OP, contacting them now myself.

  • I've just submitted a ticket too. The perils of digital purchases.

  • +1

I decided to try to get two of my keys back a few days ago and got a response today.

Unfortunately our website Didgio is no longer active. We had tried many avenues to source the required codes for you but unfortunately we're not anywhere close to where we need to be. As such I have refunded you $6.00 in the form of a store credit to your Catch account as you paid for this order with a coupon code.

I'm honestly pretty disappointed. I know it's sort of my fault for not redeeming the keys but I think there's some incompetence here from their side as well. I've seen gaming stores close in the past and they often email you the keys associated with your account before they close for good.

  • Wow.. glad i redeemed it when i got it!
Was just reading stuff regarding Skyrim and thought i had it but couldn't see it in steam… and went looking for my key, only to find this had happened
Then realised the game is in steam under "The Elder Scrolls" :)
