  Definitely avoid presale deals from gearbest. Search for the ainol deal a couple of weeks ago and you'll understand.

    Agree. Never buy presale new gadgets from any of those Chinese online sellers. Often there is doubt on the quality control and you will become their beta-tester (without getting paid by them). Always let other people buy these presale items first and let them be the guinea pigs before you decide whether to buy them or not.

      I just got the shipping confirmation for the ainol (finally). should be here within 3-8 business days (I selected the free express shipping). Any issues and i'll be sending it back. Pretty sure the paypal deal of free return shipping is still on so should cover me if I do send it back.

  The Pipo X8 is conveniently shaped as a wedge and can be used as a door stop. Got the X7 from Gearbest on presale… and it took around 3months to get after many emails back and forth etc, and still didn't get the colour i ordered.

    You need to use the Ethernet port. Streaming on Wifi will most probably have latency issues due to it's cheap wifi chipset.

    Hardware wise, I have streamed on something as slow as a Atom N270 with 1.5GB of RAM (at 720p resolution with the worse quality setting) and can say you really don't need a powerful rig to view the stream, Atom works fine.
