For those who missed out on the Stanley FatMax 18V 2 piece Kit, it's on sale now at Masters Everton Park.

I bought one online 2 weeks ago with the 15% off promo code from eBay, but this is even cheaper.

  • On their eBay store Masters have it at $320.95 so with the 15% code it is about $280.

  • for chullora, $249 - 15%?

  • Is it applicable for Victoria as well ? Say, Box Hill ?

  • OP's right, if you change your store to Everton Park 4053 then it becomes $199. It is around $250 everywhere else.

Masters Price Guarantee states "We'll still beat any retailer's price by 10% … Price promise applies to online purchases from Australian-based competitor websites on an identical stocked item and on a delivery fee inclusive basis."

You could technically take your phone showing the Everton Park price to any Masters and get a further 10% off.

  • $10 off with flyer ends tonight too

  • The 4 piece kit is $299 from Knox Ville, Vic :( all other stores have it for $449.

  • Everton Park Opened last week so I would say it is an exclusive offer at Everton Park as part of their opening specials.

  • I live near here and have been looking for a new drill with LION battery.. I have an old drill with Ni-cad and I hate it. Is this any good for the price? Note I am a homebody and i'm not looking to do major jobs. Just around the house and maybe a few harder jobs here and there (like drilling a hole into concrete walls outside).

I have a 18V set that is probably better than this one. (Hitachi)
They are good but drilling into concrete is not going to happen without a hammer function. Even brick would be a struggle.

Even with a corded hammer drill, drilling into concrete is not very fun. You would be better off with a cheap SDS drill if you have more than a few holes to drill.

Don't know specifically about Stanley power tools, but when it comes to charge retention, just about any drill with a Li-Ion battery will be an improvement over Ni-cad.

  • Just had a look at the Everton Park opening special brochure that was delivered last week and that has them for $249, so this seems a good deal.

  • How does this compare to this one below?

    I've been comparing both

Milwaukee hands down, Stanley are just re branded Black and Decker tools, there are few FatMax tools actually worth the price premium other than the standard fatmax 8.0M measuring Tape, top bit of gear that one.

Those Milwaukee's would be at home in a tradesman's tool box, I wouldn't recommend the Stanley kit to anyone wanting to do more than the odd bit of DIY.

      • Thanks for the advice.
My gut said Milwaukee although Stanley reviews seem quite positive

If you dont want to pay Milwaukee price, AEG is made at the same plant, as is Ryobi. And the quality is said to be in the same order. Big up for them is I was told, they use Samsung batteries which are first class.

        • @Tuba:
and also come with a 6 year trade warranty AEG that is
