Finally - a game for PS4 that everyone has heard of. It's been a long time coming.

  • +6

About time there was a game for the PS4 I didn't have to google to find out what the heck it was

    • +1

Now I am waiting some good news about the free xbox1game for June.

      • +1

Yet to find a XB1 bundle that appeals to me, once one appears I will pull the trigger and have all the consoles for my wife to be grumpy about lol

        • I regret to sell my xb360. Otherwise, the free xb gold member games are quite good.

        • @alwayseric:

I still play my 360 since there is no BF1943 for the next gen consoles

        • @Japius:

People still play Battlefield 1943 on Xbox live?

        • @HandsomeMonkey:

Lol yes much to EA's displeasure, still needing to support servers for no revenue

        • @Japius:

That's awesome!! PSN dropped it 2 years ago. It was a great game.

    • +2

Yes, I know what you mean. Super Exploding Zoo has been too long coming.

      • oh no, I just did the same joke before seeing yours, now I look lame.
        Time for me to edit.

  • +4

    Nice

Cant tell u how many times i thought about picking up mgs

  • Snake? NOOOOOOO!

I bought it six months ago and haven't played it yet.

    Where's the Vita <3 ?

    • +2

      Vita selection is horrible

    • lol, me too.

It's hard to know when to buy.

    • quite disappointed with the selection of Vita games :( was hoping for a AAA title!

      • There aren't many AAA titles on Vita, and many of them have already been given for free. All that's left is CoD and Resistance which are crap so I've heard.

  • +7

    Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEE

  • I'm glad I've holding off on buying MGS Ground zeroes and Call of Juarez Gunslinger after all of those sales.

  • for a moment there i thought it was Call of Duty…… agh!!

  • +1

Anyone know some good deal for ps plus 1yr membership thank you;)

  • +1

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a really nice little "freebie" if your PS3 is still firing.

    Warning: Gamesblip alert… http://gamesblip.com/review-CALLJUAREZGUNSLINGER.htm

    • Yeah I loved this game (on PC) - Certainly got more enjoyment out of it than CoD AW

  • +2

Holy crap it's not an indie

  • +1

Correct me if I'm wrong. If my PS Plus membership expires, I can no longer play those games?

I am also interested in deal for ps plus or ps credit

    • +1

dick smith rarely have 10% off PSN cards…..try to jump on that deal if it comes…

      • thanks, will keep a lookout

    • +4

If my PS Plus membership expires, I can no longer play those games?

Correct… However, if you sign up to PS+ again you can play them as before… The license to play the games is active as long as your PS+ sub is active.

You can also delete the games and re-downloaded whenever you want, even if they're removed… You're effectively purchasing the games but with a timed license, a license which expires/renews with your PS+ subscription

      • Thanks for the detailed explanation!

  • Is this for US PSN store?

    • +1

I think it's for both stores this time. It's a rarity that they both have the same games but from this link and OP's they both match up
      https://www.playstation.com/en-au/explore/playstation-plus/

      • +1

PAL and North America have had the same ps plus free games for about a year……

        • +1

Not for flash sales though. I only keep the US PSN account with credit for those discounts

        • @neonlight: me too.. US flash sales take a dump from a great height for pricing compared to Aus store.

  • first time I've been jealous as an xbox owner. nice!

  • Anyone know how many GB is MGS? I heard its a fairly short game..

    • +1

      It's about 5 GB

      • Plenty of space for that, sweet.

  • cant wait to see the epic graphics of ground zeroes!

  • +1

Where are those kids who defended those "free" indie games to death!?

    • +3

      Saving my breathe :-)

    • +1

Skulls of the Shogun is there, we're still happy :)

      • +1

I have it on my phone and my pc…….

  • -1

    Metal Gear Meh.

    Rest look pretty good.

  • I just got a PS4 over the weekend with that dick smith deal and currently I'm on a free 14 day trial of PS Plus. What's the process to get these free games? Just search for it in the PS store and download?

    • +1

When the PS+ games go live, simply search for them and click on the PS+ logo, the price will be $0 and it will checkout normally. Make sure the price is $0 otherwise you'll actually get charged. These should be active next Wednesday.

    • they wont go Live until about the 6th June.
you should be able to get Mays selection though.

  • Gunslinger is a good western shooter. Its a decent sized game too… kind wonder why they never released it on disc.

    • They did release the physical version on xbox 360 though.

  • +5

It looks like Sony decided to slowly decline on giving good free games via PSN+, as PS4 subscription is required for online play. Also they do not need to compete badly like last gen consoles. So pretty much the offers are quite poor

  • Oh yes, just bought my PS4 a few days ago as well

    • Not yet available for the Australian PSN users. Not on my end ATM anyway

      • Should be by now.

The DL rates I am getting are pretty slow, though.

  • this deal reminded me that I forgot to add last month's games to my list. :(
