  • So the shredder doesn't have any warranty?

I am getting, "This catalogue is not available in your location". Anyone else?

    • @ AussieDaddy

      Ok here in QLD.

@AussieDaddy: Are you trying to read this online in a Coles or Woolworths store?

      • I am simply clicking on the deal (the catalogue pic on the right that has 'Go to Deal' on it) and it's telling me that the catalogue is not available in my location, then takes me to other catalogues.

PS: I am in SA by the way.

  • Since I answered my own question, the radio does have a headphone out port so you could use this as a cheap receiver :)

    [See here]

  • Aldi sold a crosscut shredder for $50, office pro brand

It's not Rexel brand, but still works just as good.

But how is this a deal? What is the normal price?

    Any reviews on these ?

What kind of batteries do they use?

    • +2

Check the link I posted - it says internal battery rechargeable via USB.

      • it says internal battery rechargeable via USB.

I saw that. But what type of battery? Is it replaceable ?

        • and no word on how long it works for on a single charge

          @shmahoo:

        • @diddy50: it absolutely does - my bad

Anyone else able to find anything on it?

I got an almost identical looking shredder from Aldi 'office pro' last year for $30 about 2 weeks after they ran the special buy. Works very well too.

edit: just noticed someone else said the same thing above :)

  • Does anyone know if Special Buys are for specific ALDI stores only?

      Aust wide.

  • I wonder how the radio compares with this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/192015

    • I can't remember whether that one got a good reception from us or not

  • Good timing, we almost bought the goose-neck kitchen mixer from Ikea for $79, but decided to hold on because we don't know how to install it. The Aldi one cheaper and looks nicer too.

Did anyone know if it is easy to install, or should we hire a plumber? I'm trying to avoid paying $100 for plumber to install $50 tap.

    • +1

      $100 plumber to turn up
      $75 to do the install

at minimum if he is cheap….

its not difficult, just tiresome as you have to be in a tight space for a while.
need to have on hand adjustable wrench and white plumbers tape, turn off water.
Make sure you have a shut off tap under your sink, if not get on installed at the same time for both the hot and cold water outlets.
      makes life easier

Thanks… I tried to look under my sink, and yeah.. it's very tight over there, especially the space to screw/unscrew the tap.
I might give it a shot

          I encourage it. Good luck!
