Do you get a refund if it doesn't work ?

Also, since this is coming from Taiwan, is it covered by Australian warranty ???

        I am asleep…

    • It says in shipping tab ships from Sydney. If it's out of stock it ships from overseas(Taiwan)

Well you should research before you buy, comparing the frequencies of your network to the frequencies of what this version of the G4 is compatible with. Sites such as this will do this job for you.

Also, since this is coming from Taiwan, is it covered by Australian warranty ???

They have a warehouse in Sydney which you send your device in for warranty. But the product is sent to Tawain from there so technically it isn't 'Australian warranty'.

      • Warehouse is in rhodes. Ive dropped off my faulty phone there a few months back

Looks like it covers pretty much every 4G band around the world.

Seems expensive when you van get a G3 for half the money. What's that good about this over the g3?

    • Better processor and camera. But yeah the G3 is much better value, you probably won't notice the difference.

Seems expensive when you can get a smartphone for $49.

Better processor and way better camera. Screen is same res but noticeably better, and has a slight curve making easing to hold and use. Unnecessary software customisations have been toned down. Has fast charge technology. Options of leather back covers.
Up to you if worth paying double for, the camera is the biggest selling point for me.

    • seems expensive when you can get a nokia 3310 for $12

      • So predictable

    Neeeeeeed another sub$400 G3 deal !!!

      … that isn't a Beat.. :(

  • I thought LG was not releasing this until around end of June.

Waiting to see how much it will be on a plan as it's one of the phones I'm interested in getting

  • 3GB RAM makes a alotof difference but then again you have asus 4GB smartphone is whole other league :)

  • So I guess it is not Australia stock?

  • Quick question, will I be able to claim GST via the TRS at the airport if I purchase a phone like this via eBay?

    • +1

I've bought from these guys before (2 LG G3's), both of those were grey imports (one from Taiwan, one from HK).

Chances are this is a grey import as well and if so, no you won't be able to claim TRS as no GST was paid on the phone when purchased.

Pity LG didn't go with snapdragon 810, this makes Samsung S6 superior.

    • +1

Heard 810 has heaps of issues, manufacturers are trying to avoid it. Battery drain and heat issues ?

  • The S6 doesn't use a s810 either.

    • Yes. S6 uses Exynos 7420 which is better than 810.
      Which means S6 > G4

      • +1

I know. No fast charging is a big aspect missing however the G4 has advantages the S6 doesn't, so it isn't clear cut. Such as removable battery and sd card slot that some users like to have and will make the G4 > S6 to them.

        • +2

It DOES have fast charging after all. Just weird why they couldn't confirm it earlier

Yes the S6 has a faster CPU but all these new phones are so quick when are you really going to notice the need the extra speed outside benchmarks? The top 3D games perhaps but in all other uses the G4 remains a powerhouse

Note this model doesn't support 2300mhz (band 40) which Optus does use in capital cities.

This model does for an extra $10 (H815T)
