Hotelclub reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this promotion at any time without notification.

    Why ?

    • Hmm, normally they extend the code expiry :P

    • +2

Isn't that standard for most promotions?

      • -3

I doubt it would be legal to change conditions of something you paid for without notification

        • +7

I interpreted it as changing the promotion(before you pay), not the contract you make when you pay.

  • +1

The $150 limit is an unwelcome development with what is normally an attractive discount. A resort stay up 7 to 10 days might cost up to $10K in December so the usual discount can be worth anything up to $2K. $150? Hah!! Get real RatesToGo….

      split your booking!?

  • Tried a few hotels on the goldcoast during school holidays and doesn't work.

I used these guys when I went to Asia last. I got best prices for every hotel compared to the other big online websites. Plus they charge you in AUD, not USD. I highly recommend this site.

    • i think Agoda is pretty good for asia hotels

It's totally overpriced. I have few hotel bookings in NZ (Queenstown & christchurch) and it seems their price is still expensive even after the discount.

  • i just did a parallel search for Canberra 9th to 10th June.

Searching in internet explorer with no code.
    Searching in Chrome with code.

the same hotel came to the same price… with or without code.

  • Sister company cheaptickets has 'CHEAPOUT' as their code for 20% off (min 2 nights). At times, that is at AT TIMES they can prove cheaper than ratestogo, even after factoring in you are paying in USD and after taking into account the 3% currency conversion rate for those who are liable. You do the comparisons….

    • You can circumvent the currency conversion impost with a 28 Degree Master Card.. :-) .. !!

  • i did some tests in London, as im currently looking in there, and their pricing does indeed seem more expensive than the incumbents, even after their "discount"…

People complaining about inflated prices, you win some and you lose some, the more effort you put into researching websites/deals, the better you save. In the past year I've used Webjet, Ratestogo, Hotel, Hotelclub and entertainment book to book accommodation.

    • Yep, I agree, the cheapest rate is not necessarily on the same website for every combination of variable. There are so many variables that come into play - how many people, kind of room, location etc.

I've had some great buys (on what we want) from Ratestogo using these 20% extra off deals. But I've also had some fantastic deals direct from hotel websites recently too. It pays to shop around.

  • Very nice 11.20% on Cashrewards at the moment as well

    • +1

      Remember you can't stack.

      • Damn, didn't realise that, new to cashrewards.

I work for HotelClub/RatesToGo, if anyone needs help please do not hesitate to let me know.

    • It's a little cold in Melbourne today, can you help with that?

      • +8

Yeah, go to Uniqlo and buy one of those puffy jackets.

        • -2

I thought you would say "use the 20% off code to stay in a hotel with heater on all night".
Too bad you failed the customer acquisition test, there goes your bonus…

        • +1

@alanyang: too bad my job isn't to acquire customers, I just thought I'd drop in in case anyone needed assistance :)

  • Didn't work for me….

"Were sorry, we do not recognize this as a valid promotion code based on your search criteria. Click here for terms and conditions."

" Good news: During final confirmation, the price of your hotel was lowered by $59.06.
The total cost is now $324.94, and your savings have been applied. "

lol this was a nice surprise!

  • ratestogo seem to be owned by hotelclub. wonder if it can be stacked with the AMEX deal recently for hotelclub?

  • We're sorry the promotion code you entered is not valid for this hotel

As my uncle Rex used to say, "Poopy!" :(

  • Still valid..
