Aus stock so must be the 2GB Ram / 16GB version, right?

    • Yes

  • Damn, just purchased from you 2 weeks ago….

    • was yours an Optus one as well?

  • So all aus stock 2gb and 3gb import?

    • yes

  • The G3 is an Optus branded model (other clours are unbranded). What does that mean and how does it affect usage, OS updates, being able to use on other networks?

  • This LG G3 (2 GB RAM) with 2 year Aus LG warranty or imported version with 3GB RAM but only 1 year vendor warranty? Tough call, but I might risk it with the import version…sick of lag on my Samsung, and apparently the 2GB RAM versions of LG G3 also have some lag.

    • this white model is also an Optus branded one, thats why I have asked a question above, as I have no idea if thats a problem or not.
The import ones are factory versions, not branded at all (meaning factory rom, not optus rom)

    • if same price i will take the import. check dwi kogan etc or ebay 2nd hand.

    • I think it's also to do,with qhd and s801 not being powerful enough to push the extra pixels. I have lag on my note 4, but it's not bad enough to bother me. I think you really need at least s808 for these qhd screens.

I really wish LG had just stuck with a 1080p screen for the G3. In my opinion qHD is just not needed on a 5.5"screen. You can't see the difference unless your eyes are 10cm from the screen, and nobody uses their phone like that.

        • so this or Zenfone2 (2Gb/32GB)?
I am aware I'm comparing local stock vs import, but performance wise?

        • You can't see the difference unless your eyes are 10cm from the screen, and nobody uses their phone like that.

          Google Cardboard?

        • @StepRuditoe:
Yep, and how often would I use that? Another gimmick that will fade into obscurity.

        • Yes i would have bought a G3 if LG just used a 1080p screen. It's almost perfect in every other aspect.

          @Ronnnie:
Yep, the qHD just slows it down, for no obvious benefit. It would have been a beast with 1080p screen….ah well, marketing wins over common sense once again!

this is exactly what people said about 720p vs 1080p.
          " cant see pixels anyway"

  • Man, this phone is getting cheaper by the minute.

Is the g3 beat a good phone for that price? I've been looking for a decent 4g android phone for around $200. Would I do much better waiting?

  • Aust version will able to use all the 4g frequency from all the carrier in Aust right? While the imported miss on some of the frequency?

    • I understand that is only true for the DUAL SIM G3…the single SIM gets all the frequencies used here.

  • Got one last night (g3) now waiting for delivery.
