    Same price last week…

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:79UYiVp…

    Looks like their normal price for a bag of Mulch…

    Much cheaper getting it by the trailer load…

      Can I borrow your trailer?

      • +2

        Free hire at bunnings and most nurseries…

    • They must hide the stock because I'd never seen it until I discovered it on there website and asked staff about it, normally a 70ltr bag goes for $17.50 at bunnings, the staff at the registers were shocked to see it for only $5 per bag when I paid! So I doubt many people know of it

        I pay around $40 for a cubic metre…

        • how much would that translate into 50ltr? I don't have access to a trailer nor do I have a towball, Sure if you do have either of these I would suggest a landscape supply however most people only need a bag or two and it fits in a normal car ready to take home =)

          @Gomo:

          Trailer hire is free, but not having a towball is going to make it difficult… Do you own any huskies ???

          (There are 1000 litres in a cubic metre… So 20 x 50 litre bags)

          @Gomo:

          "Depending on the type, mulch generally ranges from $25 - $60 per cubic metre."

          http://www.themulchcentre.com.au/our-products/pricing.aspx

          For comparisaon, that works out at about $1.25 - $3.00 per 50 litre bag…

        • What type of mulch did you get for ~$40 cubic metre?

        • @jv:
          you have green thumbs jv, thats surprising

          Are you trying to be humus ?

          I have many talents…

        • @jv:
          brown fingers then

  • @jv: Thanks for the info, still I reckon the deal in the bags is a good price regardless, however if I was to get a huge garden project done I would probably find a mate who has a ute to help out and buy it from a landscape supplier instead

      however if I was to get a huge garden project

      A cubic metre doesn't go very far… Covers 10 square metres at 10cm deep.

  • +1

    That's a huge garden project for someone with a unit balcony

    • You purchase most things from nursery / landscape suppliers in half metre increments.

      Share it with your neighbour or put some on the common property.

  • Are they termite resistant? (No mention in the description…)
