Yeah, I've heard bad things about the MIUI on MiPad. Though I've heard that you can root it and install custom roms on it.

I bought the 64GB version in Shanghai in March. The MIUI OS won't allow you to add a Google account and you'll have to install apps using the apks. Most of the ones I typically use won't install/run.
It's currently on 4.4.4 CM ROM and it runs sweet.
Strongly recommend getting a silicon sleeve or cover for it as the back is very slippery.

It's a deal that has been on Aliexpress front page for awhile now.
I'd probably hesistent on getting anything over $100 USD on Aliexpress (since Aliexpress is riddled with fake stuff), but the tablet, if it is an authentic one, is very cheap. Places like Gearbest have this for $200+ USD. I am assuming the discount is being done because of the newer model being announced soon.
I wouldn't recommend getting one, since I've heard from forums that it's optimised very very poorly.

It's odd I don't know much about this brand's offerings … but I was looking at a tablet that seems identical other than it was 8.4". Seems very close in size. This is half the price (on eBay, didn't look anywhere else).
