34

I've been using this product for the last few years for all my marketing etc, it's pretty top notch. They just sent out an email advertising an end of year sale & FYI I haven't seen them do too many sales like this so jump on this while stocks last.

Savings on the Business Disc is $150, Residential Disc is $250 and Bundle Pack is $350.

Only available December 2009

I don't think it's a spam tool, and many legitimate Australian businesses use this database.

      • I thought spam was unsolicited commercial email? In which case this is, by definition, spam

        • I've never actually used this database but ok if everyone say it's spamming tool then fair enough.

Agreed.. we have at least 1kg of wasted paper going into the recycler every week from unwanted advertising.

Here are some links to prevent your name from ending up on these discs.

Do Not Call Register - Note Mobiles, Landlines (including VOIP), and Sat phones will become fair game at the end of this year.

  • This has to be an 'anti-bargain'. Right?

  • Hi Darryn, is it legal now to use the product in Australia?

  • Hi Guys,

This is definitely not a spammer's tool. They have a few email addresses on some of the records but other than that it's mainly good for targeted mailouts (ie: if you wanted to contact plumbers in a particular area like West Sydney for example, you just search and export a excel file that you can use for a mail merge or for phone calls). Mailouts arent "spam" but yes I can see what you mean in terms of wasting paper. It's up to you if you prefer to make more sales or if you prefer to save the environment though. I know personally when i receive mailouts I put them in the recycling bin & hope that others do the same.

Also I have an business associate that used it for a business plan, it gave him info on how many potential businesses he could target in an area. That's most certainly not spamming.

I wasn't sure to post this on ozbargain as it's a straight up business tool but hopefully a few of you can see the value here.

As for the product being legal, i think they have some history on the website of what happened with some other court cases in the past. The company in that last article is "Dependable Database Data (DDD)" - these guys are United Directory Systems (UDS) … different company.
