  • Powershop has a refferal system:

Switch Your Mates - to Powershop
Refer friends and family to Powershop – $75 credit for each person that joins.
$75 for you and $75 for them.
Enter their email addresses, and we'll send them an email invitation to make the switch to Powershop. Easy.

But I can't think of any simple way we could integrate an email address based refferal system with Ozbargain. Could we do it with a PM based "used yours here's mine" chain like on competitions?

I've been with Powershop for a few months and loving them so far! Definitely didn't regret my decision moving from Origin. Love their mobile app too

Would be nice if available for existing customers!

    • port switch out then back in? :)

  • Is powershop worth switching to and is that membership worth it? I'm with RED at the moment but kept thinking about switching to Powershop

I read that article but would like to hear personal experiences

    • 5-minute sign up, 60-day guarantee, no exit fee :)

      • Sold! guess it's worth to try

        • Anyone wants to send me their referal link?

        • @stephenc1: Sent you a PM.

  • How their rates are compared to others

    • Cheaper.

      • But different. They give the best I incentives for pre-purchasing your power, so none of that pay on time rubbish because you've already paid.

The power tracking shows what you used when, so its great for tracking what's wasting your power.

I wouldn't think about rates with Powershop as much as I'd think about patterns. Rates go up and down, and get recalculated all the time to ensure your service fee is accurate.

I consider it "OzBargain friendly" because there's deals that come and go and over time you work out the best way to extract maximum value. When I signed up with them I liked that there were no entry/exit fees, and they'd reconfigure my meter at no charge, whereas others had fees for all of these.

If you like to just get a bill and pay it, Powershop is not for you (though it's certainly an option). However if you like have an interactive relationship with your electricity company and make conscious decisions about when you buy "units", Powershop is, dare I say it, interesting.

  • Can you get this offer and the $75 bonus, or have to choose one?
