Chaos.com - Wii: Dumbbells $17.78 Free Ship; Fitness Coach $130.13 + More Wii Fitness; 4/12/09

00

ON HOLD for now - looks like Chaos.com changed the promotion / haven't got their promotions working properly

Link to the Christmas "Daily Specials" Calendar has gone (that's how I saw today was 25% off their Wii fit gear + shipping)

They advertise 10% off + free shipping till Christmas for everything (and no code required), but someone's already reported shipping still got added to their order

Wii Fit software and accessories, 25% off and free shipping, 4 Dec 2009 only.
I did a check, and it's more like, a few dollars off on price, per item + free shipping.

Example 1 - Wii Everlast Dumbbells
* Chaos.com $17.78 + free shipping
* I couldn't find the dumbbells on staticice.com.au
* JB HiFi has them for $19.99

Example 2 - Wii Fit (board + game)
* Chaos.com $130.13 + free shipping
* Staticice.com.au has some cheaper listings, but they ended up
- being out of stock
- not including both the board and game
- having a different price once you got to the website
* JB HiFi $138.99

Note: I haven't checked BigW, Target, Kmart etc. I'm not sure if they are better than JB HiFi.

So, if you are already planning to get Wii Fit software and/or accessories, at current prices, Chaos.com looks worth a check, today only.

  • Quick clarification.

    The Wii gaming console is separate

    If you buy Wii Fitness, you also need the Wii gaming console, to use the products as they were intended.

    (Otherwise you could try using the board as weights or a step board … and meditate while looking at the DVD packet … :P)

  • Wii dumbbells. Are you serious ? Geezuz. Firstly 1kg dumbbells isn't going to do anything, secondly, whats the point of having it on the wii ?

    This is why i hate the wii, too much gimmicks and crap "games". How much mario crap can they churn out.

    • Gimmicks? :) It's not just dumbbells … it's Everlast branded Wii dumbbells :P

      (That was meant to be a joke on my part :) )

      If it's helping to get certain people to get up and exercise … properly (so not hurting themselves, bending incorrectly etc) … as opposed to say, just sitting on the couch … then it is doing something …

      But I agree, it's not going to be helpful for everyone

      I'm wondering, since it's a Wii accessory, maybe it has a gyro or something inside, to sense movement.

      So it could also be used as the counter, to monitor that a person is doing exercises. eg weights are held whilst doing lunges

    • Put it this way: the only reason I don't own a Mario title is because I don't have a nintendo.

      Also: 1kg dumbbells are very useful when combined with the right exercises.

    • Nintendo could crap in a can and people would buy it. To each their own. You don't necessarily need to hate it — just don't buy it.

  • Apparently 10% off sitewide and free shipping.
    I added Wii Fit Plus to my cart and tried through paypal and it added $3 shipping.
    Perhaps they should change their ad at the top of their site, which states "10% Off & Free Shipping On Now" and the conditions (which only exclude Large CD and DVD boxsets, and CD singles).

      !?

      They had a link on there this morning, that went to a calendar showing the special for everyday. :S !

      Today's special was supposed to be 25% off their prices for the Wii Fit gear and free shipping.

      Hmm :( Not impressed

    • Sounds like it's changed or there's an old reference, as the asterisk beside the banner and the other link also state "excludes gaming hardware."
