This is a bonus offer for those of you who own an old Nokia or Microsoft Lumia mobile and have now purchased a new model. Getting the bonus is a convoluted process.
Anyone who purchases a new Microsoft Lumia device and registers the old mobile's IMEI number in the Switch Gift app, will receive a gift pack from Gameloft worth US$90. The gift pack consists of free in-app purchase credits that can be redeemed in these freemium games Asphalt Overdrive, Pastry Paradise, and Rival Knights. This offer is available globally and applies to Lumia devices purchased between 5 June 2015 and 30 November 2015.
Here’s how to claim your gift pack:
- Purchase a new Microsoft Lumia device.
- Download the free Switch Gift app onto your new phone.
- Open the app and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Once the app validates your new phone, enter the 15-digit IMEI number from your old Lumia device. It can be found in the “About” section of your phone’s settings.
- Following successful validation of your old device, you’ll be asked to enter your email address.
- The app will email you with activation codes and instructions for your Gameloft gift pack.
- Activate your codes and start gaming!
My bet is that it will only apply to USA customers with a USA activated phone. It does link to the Windows Phone US web site.
