Help Please - Need a Good Business Name

My sister who lives in the UK, has found it hard going. She wants to setup her own business as a transcribe typist. She is good at it, but is fed-up of agency work. I spoke to her tonight and said, she needs a good, snappy, business name. Her name is Tina Turner. I know that there are many people on here that are in this line of work , can you help please

    TTurner Phrase.

    • Turner Phrase - winner right there!

  • I wont be much help but one thing, don't use Tina Turner as the company name, it will never pop up in search results because of Tina Turner the singer. So a site like tinaturnertranscriber.com won't rank.

    • Potential clients will be searching for 'transcription services', not the lady's name, in any form. However, in a list of transcription services, one that incorporates her name - at least in part - may stand out as a result and make for more clicks /calls.

Im with PVA, either use Tina or Turner, but never both. SEO would get dominated regardless if you added transcription etc. And I'd be less inclined to approach a business that was trying to leverage a celebrity name, regardless if it is also their real name, but that's just me.

        • My suggestion - intentionally - didn't make full use of her celeb-associated name.

  • Simply the Best!!!

      Well, I liked it :)

  • Scribbles
I'd transcribe that for a dollar
Tina The Typist (Logo has 3 TTTs)
Triple T Typists (Logo has 3 TTTs)
    Super Ultra Mega Typist
    Control Alt Typists (CAT)
    Touch Typist Tina

    • Better to get .com long term

      • In the short term, a .com. Within 10 years, nobody would think twice about using a non-dot-com.

  • Don't forget the most important thing:

There's the biz name & then there's the domain name. Hardest thing is to get both…Be sure that once she decides a name & it's available as a biz, that she also has the domain available— then decide if she wants (she should) to lock down .com, .net, .uk (she can "park" the others & point them at her website).

    Good luck!
