  • Great deal

  • Great deal.

Especially since the title deal DLX2002M is an HAMMER drill + impact driver combo.

The plain drill plus impact driver is $20 less - not as good a deal.

  • So how does one temporarily become an apprentice? :P

    • Pretty easy from memory. Where I worked we had technicians with 30 years plus of experience signing up to be a trainee so they could get a few thousand in tool allowances whilst the employer also got paid. They would just get a training provider to sign off on the RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) and it would all be done.

    • Great deal, a shame that i am not an apprentice

  • Potentially only going to be usable by a few, but this is a really cracking deal. $200 off something like the brushless DLX2000M pack is phenomenal. Going to have a chat with my bro tomorrow, see if he can hook a brother up.

  • Good deal, will buy a set through one of my apprentices.

  • Can I price match this at Bunnings?

    • +1

Probably not as they wouldn't have same combo. Sydtools has free delivery anyway

      • I was thinking that I'll call then anyways.

  • Any apprentice here in Melbourne, I am happy to pay $50 for someone to grab a drill combo for me please.

  • Has anyone asked an apprentice to assist on a tool purchase before? Just wondering if the apprentice needs to make the purchase (have it delivered to him/her) and whether cashback needs to be paid into a bank account in their name?
    Thanks!

    • I think you need to provide indenture documents + it must be paid into claimers bank account. So pretty hard to if you aren't yourself eligible.

  • I just got a request from them asking for further proof (payslip etc.)that i'm an apprentice.
I wonder if some people are trying to fake being an apprentice to get the cashback?
