Just bought a Sony SRS x5 for 166 at HN. Was looking at it for a while until today there was a price drop. Normally ~$250

Got this back before xmas with the x3 for a combined total of $199 and i use the x5 all the time.
Had to choose between this and the bose soundlink one… the sony is waaaaaay better!hows the sound on the x3? Dick Smith has it on special for $78
Which sound link to you compare it to? The mini or the 3?? I'm tempted too but I'm also keen on a sound link 3
The x3 is fine for a little portable. But if you have a backpack the x5 is definitely worth all that dosh
The x5 is wayyy better than the soundlink mini

For this price I'd go with HKONYX studio. Sounds better than all of abovementioned Sonys and Boses.

Bought two of those HP Roar Plus sale. Sounds fine used singly. Totally rubbish with muddy sound as a stereo pair. Big mistake was it wasnt aptX. Then again u need aptx end to end to make use of it.
I hear good things about SRS-X5.
I'm tempted by this, there are lots of good reviews on Amazon
