Memo Pad 7/8 (ME572C/ME581C) 2GB/16GB FHD Intel Quad Core ($169.00/ $199.00 Shipped) @ Asus AU

220

Today must be my tablet day.
Anyways with Z3560, which is comparable to Snapdragon 600~800, according to notebookcheck, I frankly think these are bang for the buck tablets at reasonable price. Their normal price was $250 and $300, I've seen them coming down to $200 and $250. With free shipping and more discount, it's a bargain.

Bloody table took me 5 attempts to get it right. Sigh.

      • That was what got me to realise that I need that:

        |———|—-|—-|—-|—-|

        • It's way too confusing

        • @kaneissik: Agreed, I was copy and pasting the table example from wiki, which wasn't working… That being said, I am happy with the end result.

        • @AznMitch:
Yeah, it looks good! I just wish we were able to keep the column active down the entire table!

        • @kaneissik: It's better than nothing though :) Imagine all the information written without a table…

        • @AznMitch:
So basically like my posts ;)

        • @kaneissik: Well, your post is massive because you add all the deals from the steam sales, mine was like 2 chunks of spec list that people would find boring :P

  • Probably dropping prices for the new zenpad which on paper looks awesome.will be my next tablet due out next month

    • Have to say, it looks awesome. :)

    • $170 is still excellent value for a tablet that's basically an improved nexus 7 2013

Newer model comes out, older model gets discounted. Though given that something like Tab 4 costs $200~$300, I still think these tablets are amazing in terms of value.

  • How is the screen on these? Thats probably the most important factor for me since i just want to watch movies/youtube

  • See enough ips 7” tabbies with an existing &then also 400+DPI in the 1+1 However price point is right. I've purchased haipad - and proudly brand blind.

Seems I might prefer something in line with just 200dpi solving this form_factor app; meaning Footlong viewing/FoV. Pref updated by win 10 droid 5.1 combo. 11”thanks!

  • they are charging shipping $12.75 to sydney

  • Fantastic! Been looking for 7" tablet and tossing between nexus 7 and lenovo a7-10. But I think I will buy this to read pdf and watch movie on train

Ordered the ME581C when this was posted, didn't receive any correspondence after the initial order confirmation, now two weeks later I just received an email to tell me that the order has been cancelled!

The cancellation reason is listed as "other".

Absolutely shameful from Asus, but not unexpected from a company with a track record for terrible customer service I guess.

Same here, except I ordered on 29/6 and got my "other" cancellation today 16/7.
      Very disappointed.
