iPhone Lightning Cable 8 Pin US $0.34 Delivered @ AliExpress

142

US$0.34 lightning cable delivered from aliexpress.

4-6 weeks delivery.

aliexpress does not use paypal.

"oh no!!" I hear some people cry "I won't trust my credit card details to some china site"

aliexpress, and their payment system alipay, is owned by alibaba, which is bigger than ebay and paypal combined.

yeeeaaaah, they are fishing for your CC details.

I've had aliexpress over 160 orders with aliexpress and never a problem with my CC.

+1 for AliExpress. Cheap and safe.

  • If I try to buy more than 1 it says the order cannot be shipped to Australia. What's the happs?

    • sometimes limited to 1. but you can make multiple single orders.

100% confirmed to be dangerous and bad for your devices. It says 100% original when it obviously isn't. Not worth $0.01.

    • There are no percentage on original products if it is.

reviews say you are going to get the "this cable is not compatible" bizo

Will that happen if charging only eg. in car or only when syncing data?

  • over 160 orders!! what are you doing in your backyard/basement?

I bought about 50 if these cheapos so far. Some good some bad. Bad ones does not work at all good one works for 6 months to 2 years. But ALL off them will be unrecognizeable at some point. Pretty tiring. Thats when I have to keep reordering.

Honestly it sounds like you'd be better grabbing a $5/$10 cable and using that.

One has to be very quick/lucky to get a branded Mfi certified Lightning cable for AU$5 to AU$10. I missed the Belkin ones for $5 to $6 from Dick Smith Electronics the other day.

        • You can still grab them from their ebay store:

I am trying to price match it at JB Hifi this thing is $25 RRP !!

You can still grab them from their ebay store:

Yes, but I have to pay for delivery. No C&C as no store anywhere even remotely in bus/train distance has stock.

From the transaction history for this item it looks like it was only USD$0.26 a few weeks back.

Typical altomic, posts Aliexpress "deals" every week.

  • cannot be shipped to Australia !

      Oh no

      You must be new.

lol… Aliexpress isn't exactly 'some china site'.

You forgot to click the "Associated" button

  • You can buy over 60 of these at the price of 1 genuine apple cable.

    • Yes, but these cheap ones always either don't work right from the start or soon after. They're just a waste of time. You can get a decent 3 metre Belkin MFI cert one for $8 so why even bother with this rubbish.

More likely to neg for the condescending deal.

  • You hope those big players come to Australia, but they just don't. It is simply too costly in Australia.

As I understand it, AliExpress is just a platform for peer to peer sales. Much like eBay.

The delivery from China is often subsidised by Australian tax payers (users of Australia Post).

      • Not to worry, Australia Post is ready for privatisation and the logical buyer for a critical Australian asset/service is the Chinese government. All works out in the end.

      • the delivery is the main issue. In Chinese major city, you can get 2nd or 3rd day delivery with free shipping and still low price. On ebay, either you pay a lot for a local seller or waiting for really long delivery from oversees.

  • I find the ones that cost $2-$3 off eBay are not bad.
Sometimes a bit dodgy like will only work on 1 side so need to flip it over.
If it's taken care of they tend to do the job.
Had one plugged into work computer so basically use it 5 days a week. Still working after 1 year.
But as people have said its just hit and miss, maybe I got lucky.

  • Captcha required after 3rd purchase

  • Pile up your backyard rubbish ..

  • They'll be as genuine as a politician

    • Well let's just say that the ethics in business is completely different there and here. My previous boss was able to grab hold of CAD models of commercial products from major corporations (including dimensions) and was able to slip the items on containers to Australia without going through customs.

  • just bought 3 Belkin for $18 on Ebay dicksmith and waiting to pick up at local store

  • earlier I bought 8 cables($2) for me & friends… None of them are having any issue & can not distinguish with original..

Obviously its going to take 8-10 days for the delivery, & its matter whether you ok to disclosing your CC details… Have purchased many items form .10cnts to $2000( Hickvision system),,, So far no issue…
