Full HD Car Crash Camera TACC1 $29 in Store @ Target - Pakenham, VIC

40

I saw this crash cam in the local Target store @Pakenham, VIC. It's original price is $79. The instruction manual said the sensor is 5MP. It can take 14 megapixel still picture and full HD videos. It has wide angle lens, sensor, auto power off when the car stops, some sort of light for night mode

This time it is cheaper than this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/177836

  • i saw it at southland VIC too, but they only had one so I assumed it was local only

I bought one of these 6 months ago but returned it after a few weeks because the picture went blurry when it heats up.
The instructions say do not use in temps over 40°, so they are basically admitting that it's not fit for purpose.

Yeah. Same thing, you won't be able to ID the car plate number parked right in front of you so no point really.

What about aircon? Does that cool it down enough from its operating temperature?

      • I didn't muck around trying to solve the problem, just returned it and bought a G1W-C

isn't it mainly exposure to sun on these that heats them up. Your aircon doesn't blow up there

Correct, if I left the car out in the sun it would go blurry.
