Just remember that timberland sizes run big. I bought a pair of size 9's, my usual size, but I had to return them because they were way too big

    • Yes you're correct safwanc, I heard this and bought an 8 - usually I'm a 8.5/9

      • I see. Let's hope it actually fits.

        • I probably should mention that I am normally an 8.5-9 U.S. These fit well, may have been able to squeeze into a 7.5 but SurfStitch don't have half sizes.

          Free returns anyway :)

    • My bet is that the pair you bought was a US Size 9 which is actually the same as UK size 8. US stated sizes are one bigger size up than UK.

So remember the sizes stated on surfstitch.com are US sizes since it's a US store. Order one size down from what you take in UK size. For example if you take a UK size 10 shoe then order a size 11 from surfstitch.com

      • actually that's not correct. my usual size is au 10/us 10/eur 43. i bought au 9/us 9/eur 42 and they were still too big.

i usually look at eur size which is 43 for me.

i tried on the au size 8's in store at culture kings and it fit me perfectly.

edit: now im confused lol. let's see if these ones fit i guess :P

        • I just bought a Reebok US sized 13 shoe from COTD. It's stated to be the equivalent size of a UK 12 on the shoe. But then it may depend on manufacturer.

Some US 13 sized shoes are the same as UK size 12.5 and some are UK size 12. It really depends on the manufacturer.

        • i'll find out if they fit tomorrow. this is too confusing haha.

i just found that in my experience and that of my friends with these shoes, generally go one size down from what size you wear in US size. not talking about size conversion, but just the general size of these shoes.

        • @safwanc:

This is the Timberland adult footwear sizing guide chart. Look at the US sizes and then go down to the equivalent UK rated size from it. Or you could just look at the UK sizes and then go up and see what the US size for it is then order that US size.

          http://www.timberland.com/customer-service/sizing-charts/adu…

It seems when it comes to Timberland US sized shoes it's half a size up than UK sizes.

        • @hollykryten:

I never buy shoes based on UK size. I am not confused by the conversion but how timberland sizes their shoes.

All I am saying is I bought a pair of size 9 timbs (this is writen inside) and it was way too big. This time I ordered size 8 which is 1 size smaller than what I'd normally order.

        • @safwanc:

Well that would have been good to know that what you stated go by US sizes only.

        • @hollykryten:

size 8's fit perfectly :D. definitely go one at least 1 size down from your usual size.

I think you guys are shrinking in size as you get old.. I only see lame excuses ;)

      Anyhow how heavy are these?

      • I'm totally guessing the weight as I don't have any scales with me but I'd say they are around 700g each shoe

        • WOW! that would be less trips to the Gym!

        • @skinny: you're gonna have to change your ozb name to 'notsoskinny'

          i'll show myself the door

        • @veritas_mendax: If I buy that shoe, I should easily retain my name without going to the Gym!

          PS:

          1. may be it is what I want to be rather than who I am…who knows…
          2. everyone can claim to be skinny, it is always who you compare it with?
    • Can confirm. Definitely a size big. This is a great deal!

OLIVER Steel Toe Work Boots Side Zip Wheat Only 268 left

    • +2

They arent endorsed by the gza and the rza

    • +2

I've got a pair of those Oliver's for work. I've usually wore blue steels, which are more comfy than the Oliver's, however, the zip is far better on the Oliver's. Also, there's a little flap that holds the zip up as you can see in that photo.
Oliver's run about 1 size big, so factor that into your purchase.
      I'd recommend those boots

Mind the spelling/grammar, on my phone.

Edit: as a comparison to the timberlands… The Timberland are a fashion accessory, not for working. I work in construction and rarely see many people wear them. It's generally blue steel, Oliver's, cat, etc. and rm williams for corporate people.

    Only size 13 left.

  • craftmandship

I'm a fan of craftmandship, it's my favourite kind of ship.

  • Surfstitch just cancelled my order on these, anyone else affected here?

I just received an email stating:
"We hate giving out bad news, but unfortunately there has been an issue with your order. The item you purchased had sold out on an order placed moments before yours. As the site had not updated our inventory you were still able to purchase this item, but in this case the stock is no longer available."

    :(

    • I had that issue with 5 different pairs of shoes that I ordered!
