  • could get the X-530 . for like 65 bucks ? i dont know what the difference is though

    • The X-530 makes a huge amount of crackles and pops when lights and electronics are turned on and off in the house, so it would be unbearable having X-530 in an apartment. The X-540 has a wired remote for changing volume instead of having it on one of the satellites. The X-540 has a metal mesh on the satellites instead of a nylon (or whatever you want to call it) mesh.

  • from MSY

  • +1

They aren't amazingly cheap, I walked into Apus to pick up a Desktop Wave Pro today and they had a stack of the x-540s for $89.95. Then again I just checked staticice and the closest to this price turns out to be Apus, so around $10-20 off compared to elsewhere.

I still wish my z5500 order from HT was filled =[

  • I'm guessing these are more PC speakers than Home Theatre speakers?

Is there any distinction between pc and home theatre ones.
Or can these be simply plugged into an LCD TV in the lounge room for 5.1 sound
