Oh wow never heard of it. What is it and does super cheap auto sell it?

      • Autobarn, 8.99 a tin.

  • just wash the car once a week, and maybe polish it with wax if time permitting.

    • Wax and polish are different things. You can't polish with was or wax with polish.

      • Lol, who was that "smart" to downvote this?:))

    Turtle wax "ice"

Meguiars and Mothers are good in general. I.e. Meguiars PlastX can remove fine scratches and oxidation from clear plastic like no other product. Turtle wax is slightly cheaper and OK sometimes.

I was going to recommend the wash I currently use, ChemGuys Citrus wash & gloss:

But my 500ml bottle has lasted 6 years, I could only imagine how long 3.5L jug would last!

The Mint grey clay bar worked well on my new mazda3 collecting lots of crap easily:

Then finished off with ChemGuys M-Seal:

I still need to sort our an interior cleaner, but Aldi baby wipes seem to be the only thing that works every time on the Mazda3's cheap plastic interior

    • Yes! My snow foam lance is brilliant :-)

  • looking for a leather conditioner, any recommendations
also how is aerospace 303 heard its water based and doesnt last long

    • +1

I used aerospace 303 on the dash and plastics and i think it lasts a while. I could see it on the dash even after a long while without cleaning.

      • does it leave a greasy residue and does it make everything feel slippery?

        • +1

No, its not greasy. Much much better than armourall. Im not sure about being slippery as i liked my car clean inside with no loose things sitting around, but the dust cleaning rag would glide over much easier than on surfaces that didnt have the product on them.

        • @ddrex: thanks where do you usually buy it, my local shop charges $18 for a 300ml bottle ,and this one says marine on it, but i assume its alright for car use as well

        • @frutter: i bought it from carcareproducts.com.au ages ago along with about $500 worth of other stuff when they had one of their promotions :)

  • Duragloss car wash concentrate - 3.8l after about 4-5 years, still have a third left. Will buy again.
Dodo juice lime prime lite - before wax, really easy to wipe off which is very important for me and i notice the difference before and after (on a black car)
    Maguire's scratchX for light scratches.
Jetseal109 sealant and a coat of wax on top of that every 3 months or so. Forgot the name of the wax as my black car is sold and i haven't used it on my current rustbucket.

  • Can anyone recommend an effective and cheap headlight restoration kit or any other product that 'restores' headlight lenses?

    • +1

      plastx or metal polish.

if you have a polisher even better.
