  • I have this drive and it is great for travel and car rides.
Kids only have 16Gb iPads (that are full), but with this i can take 100's of movies away with us to keep them quiet.

  • +1

I bought this for $99 from big w great hdd

yes very lucky to get it at that price.

      • Yep - didn't realise he 2 Gig was nearly the same price. :-/. It's a good fast very quiet drive that is happy as a USB unit but easy as pie to set up for Android [with the Seagate app]. The battery lasts for quite a few hours, and streams media well.

        • I actually have 2 of these. i also got one for $99, but found out there are 2 models.
The older model i purchased for $99 has a snap on piece for the USB input.
Thew newer version has everything integral.

Almost identical box and everything else seem to work the same.

You can see the different versions here…..

  • The other day similar offer on Toshiba Canvio portable 2TB. Office works Castle Hill refused to price match "Online Exclusive Offer".

The manager at Castle Hill, who was asked to double check before purchase was allowed, said I had to call Officeworks online number to price match.

So do not rely on walking into a store and price matching these DSE offers. By the time I would have had a chance to do that DSE was showing out of stock.

When i mentioned this to warn others in my previous comment on the other offer and had a bit of a whinge about time and money spent chasing it people assumed I was negging the deal and blasted/down-voted me. So let me be clear. 1. I am offering this as a warning. 2. I did not attempt to buy a drive with this new deal. 3. If you think this price is good and not worth risking for 5% better, lock it in ASAP. If you don't try calling officework's online number (1300 call so will cost).

    • That also depends on the stores, as they are usually independently owned.

      • Yep sure. But if you wait to try at OW, tricky dicky could pull their offer early "out of stock" as they've been known to do, and you'll be left with nothing. Then again that's better than waiting a week and spending hours on the phone with DSE only to get a refund…

      • lol what? Officeworks stores are independently owned? As far as I know all the stores are owned by Wesfarmers.

        • Maybe not independently owned then, but depends on their store manager.

  • You can purchase over the phone and they will deliver it for free! Just call them.
