that a good idea for $50 profit, but now do you submit your receipts on trend micro cashback page. purchase on each 15 times? the page ask you submit receipt and I redeemed both with different receipt. worth a try but certainly a risk involve on cashback redeem.

One Receipt can be for multiple items. So if you have two in one receipt then you claim twice, with different serial number but one receipt. The question is how to install and activate on fifteen devices.

quick review: Got it primarily to watch 720p mkv files via USB OTG, and on that alone, it's what I expected from a $100 tablet. And I think in some ways it's better than an equivalent Android variant. Buy a microSD card for media and charge often and you will be fine.
good: Screen, speakers are loud enough (realised that problem was with my source, not hardware), and the metro video app just plays mkv files without the need to install any codec.
not so good: Only about 9GB of disk capacity available out of 16GB due to recovery drive that cannot be removed (even tried to move it to USB drive but no option to delete it after). That leaves only ~2GB of usable space after the OS and updates. I also deleted the Office 365 to save storage space. Battery life isn't that great also, as it seems to drain much faster than my 3yo iPad 4th gen even on sleep mode. Crashed a few times using IE11 for youtube, suspects it was caused by low RAM. Back-facing speakers (why not bottom or front - due to cost I suppose)?
One other negative for me is no light sensor to automatically decrease screen brightness.
I've installed Redshift GUI to semi automate this action based on time.
To work around the minimal HDD space, I've done the SD card trick to "mount" the SD card as a folder of C Drive, which subsequently allows you to install to the SD card.

Thanks OP! Just ordered the 8" tablet with 3 trend micros. For those who can't add 3 trend micros to their order here's how I did it:
Add the tablet to cart.
Add 1st trend micro to cart.
Add 2nd trend micro to cart.
To add the 3rd, refresh the trend micro page and click on the add to cart button as soon as you see it. Just keep repeating this until it takes you to your shopping cart and the 3rd trend micro should be in there.

Quad Core with a high resolution IPS display and 1GB RAM. Must be quite good. Bargain for $47 after the Trend Micro cash back.

I know this thread is talking about 8", but I was wondering that the tab being Windows, won't it be better to utilize as a proper windows device with the 10" display?
I read else where (whirlpool forums) that the windows icons are tough to press/touch with such small display and may be we would need a touch device like the pointer to be bought seperately
The simple fix for this is to go into display settings [right click desktop, "Screen resolution"]. You'll see the link "Make text and other items larger or smaller" towards the bottom of the centre pane - click this. From here, you may need to tick the checkbox "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays". You'll see a slider above, it should now be selectable. Slide it towards the right ["Larger"]. You may be prompted to sign out and back in to see the changes.
I find 125% to be pretty good, but at 150% tabs, icons and other buttons are significantly easier to select than at 100%. You may not be able to select 150% until applying 125% and signing in again - at this point another link should appear ["custom settings", or similar] which will allow you to select many more settings.
I just picked up the tablet today, and I have no problems using the interface at all FWIW.
Windows 8.1 makes much more sense on a tablet I have to say.

Does anyone have issues with charging it? My power jack does not fit very well in the power port (it is quite loose) and does not charge. I'm wondering if it shipped with the incorrect charger.
Are you sure it's not being put it in the headphone slot?
Might be worth double checking which port it's going into. The correct slot is on the bottom left (assuming you're holding it in landscape mode with volume controls on top), and it's labelled DC-5V.
Make sure it's pushed all the way in (the metal part of the adapter should not be visible).
I was a bit confused at first as it seemed like it wouldn't go in further but it needs a firm push.

Hi bought the 10 inch i really like it only thing is it takes a real long time to charge if using tablet at the same time.
No store had stock of both the Trend and tablet near me so I just paid the $5.95 shipping… It better arrive before the weekend as the Microsoft cashback ends on the 5th of July.

Battery ought to be charged at least a bit after a few hours (blue charging light appears when I plug it in). but pressing power for short or long periods yields nothing…

There's three buttons to the tablet. Did you press the button where the blue lights are?

Was thinking the same but only way I was to uninstall Office and the updates on the device. Of course you can always utilize the Microsd slot for extra storage space.

Lucky I initially got a dud… :-)
So I tried doing "stupid"* things like plugging into a USB charger to see if that might spark some life into the thing.
The dud did appear to charge with the charger (blue light came on), but refused to power up.. No Blue Light when plugged into the USB charger.
(* not that I expect plugging a Micro-USB port into a charger would do anything bad.)
For people who got this or the 10" version, can you tell me if it supports a 64GB microSD card? I am thinking about buying one but just don't want to assume, although it supports a 64GB USB drive thru OTG (tested it myself).
It works fine with a Samsung 64GB EVO formatted to FAT32, but I'm not going to format it to exFAT to test for you, since it is almost full.
But if exFAT does not work, you can just force it to FAT32 using this:

I have picked up my 10" version. Not bad for $100 (after cashback).
Have realistic expectations about 16gig with full windows though. With all the windows updates it leaves about 2gig left. Lucky we all have 8gb sd cards installed :)
Should go nicely as a media device paired with chromecast or netflix in bed.
