  • How long does it take for you guys to get the code from optus? It's been almost a week for me and nothing.

    • +1

They send it to the sim so keep it all on. I missed my 2nd but did online chat with an Optus rep who resent and I got next day.

      • nevermind.

      • Does it matter that when I first bought the phone, the sim that it came with was expired so I had to go back and get a new SIM? The lady at the counter said the sim was the same that you would normally get with the phone. I was just wondering if because she gave me a separate sim it might not count towards the netflix promotion anymore…

        • +1

Did she give you a retail sim? That could affect it, as it's only the ones that come with the phones that work.

        • @marquise: Yeah I think she did, just realised that she gave me one of those $2 sims

        • +1

@pudgy: Call up Optus and explain the situation.

        • +1

@marquise: Alright thanks for your help

      • can you just cycle through the sims daily on one phone? that wouldn't affect it at all would it?

        • +3

I recently bought 9 of these at dick smiths for same price, I cycled the sims daily to get all the codes sent. Codes are sent at random times, some the next day, some 4 days later and other after 10 days but they all did come within 14 days as stated in the terms and conditions. I have redeemed the codes with Netflix and now have 27 months subscription.

          @running on empty:
Hey just wondering what level subscription this gives, is it standard, HD, or 4k?

        • Sorry, double posted thanks to on/off network connection atm

        • +2

          @WeiKaiLe:
I think it's the $11.99 per month plan. They just give you a credit for $35.97.

        • @running on empty: What are you doing with all the phones, recycling them? Such a waste, but I want to do the same lol

        • @tarken: thanks a lot for that, going to grab a couple.

        • @running on empty: Hi, how to check in account about how many months of free viewing left?

        • @WeiKaiLe: It gives the medium "2 screens +HD" $11.99 as per tarken's post

        • @simmomelb: I'm trying to sell on Gumtree or maybe CEX if that fails :-)

        • +1

@charlie123: I contacted support via the website and chatted to them to confirm

        • @running on empty: Thanks for the reply

Looks like I'm livin off pies for a week.

  • '10% off a range of Gift Cards'

Wouldn't happen to know which gift cards? A couple have to buy..

    • Click on the go to deal link and they are listed within. I would assume there will be a slight difference in those offered for S.A. where there is no Village Cinemas.

      • Ah, so they are. Just thought the link was to the front page of catalogue, didn't realise could be parsed. Bit braindead today.

        Thanks.

  • Thanks. TA. I already have over a year of Netflix from the previous Coles Mobile $14.50 deals so I should be content. But I know I'll probably crumble on this deal and get some more.

    • How many years can one accumulate from these phones?

      • +3

so far I've redeemed 27 months from 9 phones

    • It's a different phone, so I think I'll get one.

    • +1

Anyone know about unlocking of this particular phone?

      • I'm curious too. Although I'm sure if I take them with me on my next Asian holiday I can get them unlocked for a dollar or so.

      • +1

It's a junk phone. It is all about the netflix deal.

It is literally made to be tossed in the bin.

  • Time to buy Doritos (min 4 bags for the whole week)

  • Does the Netflix deal include the $15 per month 4 device/user subscription?

    • +1

No. It is for 3 months of -High Definition & Up To Two Screens: $11.99.

But in reality it gives you $35.97 credit.

  • OMG baby love nappy pants again. I still have 30 packs bought from coles half price sale :(

  • 1 left of the phones @ Sydney Town Hall after I bought 2. Plenty of $19 USB modems http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/77509/31633/20150630_133530.jpg

  • OK got th Samsung phone and tried to activate online and its not accepting any address I typed in. Problem with the page?

  • Bought the Samsung E3309T at Moonee Ponds (VIC) Woolworths. 7 left as of this evening.

  • Has anyone tried to unlock the Samsung E3309T? I am thinking of buying one of these, activating it to get the Netflix deal, then giving the phone to my mum (who is on Vodafone). If anyone has successfully unlocked it, where did you do it and how much did it cost?
