I presume this one is iPad Mini 2 since it has Retina display. Delivery to Metro area is about $7-8.

Not a deal. $328 for a refurbished iPad Mini 2, when a higher capacity brand new one was only ~$40 more expensive.

    • You have to compare the same product to do price comparisons. Different models is not grounds for a neg.

:EDIT: Unless the better model is cheaper*

*Would have to ask the mods about this one.

But how is this a deal? You're paying $320 for a second hand iPad Mini 2, when you can pay $380 for a brand new one, with fresh 2 years of warranty AND it has more storage.

        • But how is this a deal?

Unless you can find a cheaper deal for this exact same model, then it is essentially a deal, just not a very good one. It's like downvoting a Pepsi deal because Coke is better and only $0.20 more expensive.

          when you can pay $380

That's still 13% more than this deal.

with fresh 2 years of warranty

EB Games states it comes Fully Guaranteed.

    • if it's without 3g you're right, it's $396. but I'm pointing to 3g capability.
      more storage? idk

      • I bet smileymiwo just realised there mistake and are now frantically trying to find it cheaper

The Optus deal that is out of stock currently is 3G as well.

Out of stocks aren't much good to anyone. Where is the $380 one you mentioned

  • I'm with smiley, not a good deal. If your logic is taken dagmar everyone will post a refurbished products that is slightly cheaper it's original as new product.

    • If your logic is taken

What logic? I never stated that people should buy the refurbished product over the new one. All I said was that this was indeed a deal as Smiley has failed to link a cheaper deal for the same product (he hasn't even linked the $380 one yet). Heck, I even said this deal isn't that good. Please don't twist my words into something that I never even implied. The discussion above was differentiating two separate products.

:EDIT: Unless it was a major price difference, I personally would buy new over refurbished.

      • That one is brand new

        Refurbished is $439 from apple.

I know apple refurbs are pretty good, the OP is "refurbished by EB", I wonder what EB would do to "refurbish" an iPad. Wipe the screen with a cloth?

Hit the nail on the head… I only ever bought one refurb from EB games and took it back after i got home. It was dirty and had human grease and filth in every port, nook and cranny that could get crap in it. The back was covered in scratches and generally had the appearance of being taken as a trade in, wiped over and resold as refurbished…

I am about 1mm away from negging this deal based on the experience i have had that these devices are not refurbished in any sense other than a quick wipe over to remove finger prints.

These are in no way to be compared to Apple refurbs. All the Apple ones i have gotten over the years look and behave like brand new items.
