  • Safe for flight.
But a bit too much the maximum i need is 3 ports, one can output 65w when all 3 ports are being used.

    • +8

just not Chinese domestic flights, unless this has the CCC stamp

      • International transit through China ok? Flying China eastern going through Shanghai to London.

        • +3

dont, they ban all powerbank without ccc label

          • +6

@pq8382: Change the 3rd C to P, then you good to go.

        • +1

In practical no as of yesterday. Users from social medial reported powerbank was confiscated at Chinese airport transit point.
As per the official rulings international departure is exempted from the "ccc" rules, but every airport interpretered the rulings differently and some may also add additional requirements.

      • -1

This one definitely has CCC label

        • +1

Im getting conflicting info in this thread, are you sure it has the CCC label? I am going to do an international transit through china and dont want to be stitched up

        • +2

The previous one I bought did not have CCC, I just checked.
I bought it earlier this year.

It does have many other certifications like CE, AU/NZS tick etc.

        • +3

I've confirmed with the seller there is no 3C label/stamp on the product due to the product is channeled for market other than China.

          • +1

@gstfree: So dumb… UGREEN is a chinese product lol

    • +3

Quite a few airlines are banning the use of them entirely though. You can carry, but can't use it.

      • -1

Whats stopping people to hide (and use) this somewhere when the light is off. Why make rule if you cant enforce it.

        • -1

They show up on the xrays when your carry-on is being checked, which is where I'd expect them to confiscate it.
It's not the air stewards taking them off people mid-air.

      • +1

Why don't they want them used?

        • +1

There is a higher than 0% chance of a lithium battery fire which is particularly nasty, especially risky with a high capacity battery in poor condition. Not worth the risk when most aircraft have in seat USB ports anyway.

  • +3

Thanks OP. Been keeping my eye on this power bank and tempted, but waiting for an ATL. Pulled the trigger this time lol.

    • +2

      You're welcome.

      • +2

The main reason for this purchase is to run my Starlink mini.

I have a few 100W power banks already, but love this one also has the detailed display for my

geek spec observations and calculations haha.

Does this power bank sustain 100W, or does it throttle like many others after getting warm/hot ?

        • +1

How long will this run your mini?

          • +2

@Spendmore: Can get a 2 1/2 to 3 hour session out of a full charge.

        • @ozhunter68 "I have a few 100W power banks already" will you put some up on oz classified?

          • +2

@McMaferMur: No, because I travel off grid in a van full time and need all of them. I don't have power bills and am limited of course power wise.

Man, shows how good the $79 deal for the 30k Cygnett powerbank was at Aldi. I got that 1 week before the cyclone in SEQ and it saved me :D

    • +7

You can definitely get a 30k one for a similar price it just won't have high power delivery for laptops

  • Works with that 30% Amazon business deal also

  • -3

does this have the CCC certification?

    • +7

Did you read any of the first comments in the post?

      • -2

        nope lol

      • +16

Who has time to read? Hell most of the time I can't even be bothered to finish my sen

        • what was melo talking about? I didn't read the comment … :D

  • -1

Does this work for laptops and the switch 2?

    • +18

No! This charges everything except the switch 2 and exact model of laptop you use. It's so strange.

      • -3

No need to be a jerk!

        • +3

You asked a valid question, some people just live sad lives and so power trip online so they feel better. Ignore them. So yes it will charge anything slowly, but whether it can charge switch 2 or a typical USB C laptop at full power depends on the charge protocols it supports, which is a good question. Most likely the laptop will charge in PD mode (65-100W) proper fast, but I'm not sure what protocol the switch 2 supports and CBF looking it up, so I'd say it'll at least charge slowly, and probably be able to charge it fast but would have to check details to be certain. Many devices use weird proprietary protocols so can never be sure until checking the specs.

  • +3

Not sure if this is the same one I have, but these things are freaking HUGE. Completely misjudged the size for day to day use on a trip and became almost worthless. Totally on me but still… just a heads up. Damn it's a brick lol

    • If you want huge, search Romoss Zeus

      • Weight over 1 Kg., (916 grm for the 65W version) now that's a Brick lol It does have a large 40000mAh capacity though.

    • +3

For anyone interested here is a size comparison.

  • Does this support passthrough charging?

  • +1

Doesn't seem to pass security check in Chinese domestic flight… LoL

  • +2

Have to agree with others that it’s a big unit, but it’s very good. I have the 25000mah version and it’s been bloody awesome. 👍

  • Can this charge MBP?

  • +1

This looks pretty good - I'm going to Europe with the family (5 of us) late in the year - just a sanity check but it seems like it'll go well for the flights for fast charging right? Or would there be a better option to get?

    • +3

Probably go the version up which is 25000 if you have a family of 5.

      • +1

Out of curiosity would it be better to get 2 of these ones instead of 1 of the 25000? Then we can have them used at the same time?

        • +1

Yeah it would be better of course. the 25000 is currently $121 through Amazon., so maybe 2 of them ? Haha either way the 2x 20mah will be plenty if you go that route

        • +1

To avoid the need for sharing, procuring five items is advisable

        • +3

Family of 5 and bought this last Dec for an overseas trip. This is amazing with it's fast charging. Definitely better to get 2 of this over one of the larger one. More ports to charge more devices.

Also this one device is able to charge 3-4 phones before it dies out.

Also faster to charge them separately than charge just one bigger one.

  • +2

I am trying to decide on this or the INIU E1. I like this has the display with the port power usage compared to a battery percentage readout. Looking at the dimensions it seemed a little larger but the shape is different too.

Here is a link to compare the size (Iniu P63 E1, Ugreen Nexode and Galaxy S24U) through a webpage I googled: https://comparesizes.com/comparison/ugreen-vs-iniu-vs-S24U/1…

    • +4

fwiw, I liked iniu's smaller batteries but I've had two of the 20,000mAh batteries die rather quickly. Admittedly the 2nd was a refurbished replacement for the 1st. It died even quicker.

Have been using the ugreen 145W 25K, 65W 12K & 22.5W 5K before, during and after the iniu odyssey with zero issues.

Looking to pick up another 2 ugreen in the near future.

  • +2

Thanks this looks perfect for my lappy.

    • most laptops take 65w only. yours is 100w ?

      • +1

It sure is. I bought the MSI Prestige from a deal here not long ago. 72Wh of the battery is just a bit under the 100Wh of the laptop but that's ok. I don't think I'll need 172Wh of total energy or over 35 hours of actual use.

    • +1

      You're welcome.

  • +1

I did some look up on Chinese taobao website and it mentioned both 130W (this one) and 200W model should have CCC stamp. But YMMV.
In the worst case, just return for free (Amazon supports change of mind return for this one)

  • Very niche question but will this fit in the little gap at the back of a steamdeck case?

    • +1

I am pretty sure its way too big for that.

edit; you know I just looked at my case and it may fit. I've ordered one anyway so will let you know.

  • Expired

  • umm'd and ahh'd last night and the price went up to $88.xx with coupon, still ordered this morning.
