  • I thought I read in the last deal you could only pre-load a maximum of 3 vouchers at any one given time so max purchase while the deal is on would be 12 + 2 = 14?

    • +1

I thought so too but upon further reading I found this (quoted from Kenb0 from the previous deal) which clarified things:

There seems to be some sorta confusion over different things. When you buy the discounted voucher, the voucher itself seems to expire on 02/05/16(expires in about a year's time, give or take a month). Then, when you apply the recharge voucher to an amaysim account which is already on the UNLIMITED 5GB plan(which expires every 30 days), the vouchers stack, and will auto-use up any vouchers that have been stacked/stored on the account when the current plan expires. Then, there's the previous mention of "credit being valid for 90 days in your account", which seems to have been a glitch/hack that someone found when they were on a different prepaid plan and then applied the voucher, and found the $44.90 applied as credit that expires in 90 days. That particular glitch seems to have been fixed now though

      All different things.

      TLDR:
      - 30 days expiry -> each UNLIMITED 5GB plan as its activated
      - 1 year expiry(approx)-> the actual recharge voucher bought on discount or full price from Coles/wherever
      - No expiry(recharge vouchers stored/stacked on account)
      - 90 days expiry -> credit that was applied from recharge voucher glitch

      • Thanks for clarifying what your saying makes sense, but has anyone confirmed this?

e.g. has anyone stacked 4 or more codes at once and after the 90 days the 4th code is triggered? (there is the risk that the code stacks but would just expire after not being "used" after 90 days?)

        • +1

Haven't confirmed it from experience. But I've stacked 12 onto my account and have spoken to an Amaysim representative. He has confirmed to me that renewal vouchers do not expire once activated upon an account.

          @oblivianz:
          also stacked 12

        • @leeroys_dad:

So I can stack 15 months worth of vouchers for $300 even though the expiry on the voucher is 02-May-2016 … ie expiry date is irrelevant once redeemed and stack on account

          Thanks

        • @bluebird77:
that's what both oblivianz and i confirmed from amaysim, yep.i'm only doing 12 months though - never knwo if there will be a better deal in the future!

        • @leeroys_dad:

Can I know how you set your account esp. Auto recharge? auto renewal?

          Thanks

        • @bluebird77:
Yep my account is set to auto renew and prepaid. also set to pay using bpay/vouchers

this is the response i received via email from amaysim when i queried the expiry on vouchers:

"Yes, that is fine, once the voucher has been loaded into the system it will not expire until it is used for a renewal."

        • @leeroys_dad:

I bought 14 vouchers given its 7 max a transaction in coles. Have no idea why.

FFirst time i heard about stacking. Normally credit goes into the account dollar wise and it renews and then drops. So stacking basically doesnt add value to your account but stores the voucher? I just loaded two this morning and the only record of them is in the online website where it says two recharge vouchers are stacked.

OTherwise it never shows up in transaction historty etc??

So im confused. If you stack vouchers more than 3 months worth will they expire after 90 days passes given your not adding value into the balance but more a voucher that adds one month of unlimited plan.

        • @SaberX:
nah the 90 day expiry is just for account credit. account recharges/stored recharges are different and they will be used before anything else i believe
correct, stacking just stacks vouchers and credit is the same

  • Does anyone have the barcode for the standard and micro-sim cards? The one which PrinceHairy linked won't get scanned ans this link http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2hhm0zs&s=8#.VWZtifKKCUk doesn't seem to be working.

  • Coles Coorparoo only has 1 SIM in stock. They don't have the 4G wifi modem in stock neither. The counter clerk suggested I go to the bigger stores like Coles Greenslopes or Carindale as she wasn't sure whether they would get more stock in or not.

  • every time the 375ml Coke cans go on sale, the Melbourne Central Branch don't have stock.
