I do love these, and replaced my stove extractor lights with them.

    • Aren't stove extractor lights usually e14 socket?

      • I was referring to the LED CORN light design rather that the particular fitting.

  • Does anyone know how gearbest deals works?

On this page: http://www.gearbest.com/gadget-deals.html?page=6 it lists the Original Xiaomi Launch sensor suite at $40.19 until July 15 but I can't see that price anywhere.

These lights are in the safer category as they have a plastic/glass lens surrounding it but I would still take a look at this video and think twice about buying cheap LED lights.

Wow some of those are really dangerous.

Thanks @keyman for sharing that vid. It answered my question of why some LED are so cheap. In fact, I've had some bad experiences with LED that I bought from ebay. Now i stick to the proper LED brands.

These would not be Australian safety approved.

Wouldn't be surprised if it interferes with electronic equipment.

  • Anyone seen any similar deals for BC globes?

    • Get some converters ES to BC. They are cheap

What electronic equipment do you have that is over 2000 years old ???

  • According to the photo, it contains a clear casing, which may be not as dangerous as you thought?
Anyway, you get what you pay for.

Do these lights meet Australian safety standards? Is your family really worth saving a few dollars?

      No & Yes

  • I got one of these or at least a very aimilar one from gearbest earlier this year. Was good when it worked but lasted only 3 months.
