  • There will be no stock when you go to order i bet , if any of the other ow deals are anything to go by there website and promotions suck

  • No stock in NSW. These Officeworks bargains are a waste of time.

Sorry guys, thought it was too good of a deal. I'm from Melbourne and I got all the way past payment and have confirmation emails. Haven't been notified about it being out of stock. Fingers crossed. Hope it helped somebody!

      • Just got a call saying its ready to be picked up. Order made 10am.

  • Great find thanks op.

  • 46 in stock in QLD :)
but i would say its not a super good deal though

i would prefer extra GB to the Firewire interface

wireless one has iomega 320GB for $75, better looking drive and better value for those who can pick up in NSW

    • WD is Mac ready and timemachine compatible plus the IMOEGA doesnt have firewire from the looks of it. They are not really that comparable.

      • is it hard to make a HDD Mac ready?

Yah the Iomega doesn't have have firewire.. but like i said i prefer better GB/Dollar to the firewire interface. USB is fine for most thing, if i need something faster, i prefer the caddy's with eSATA interface.

        $105 for 400GB drive makes it 26.25 cents/ GB..

my local umart has Seagate freeagent Go 500GB for $125 - 25 cents/GB

so i don't see the value in this deal

        • It's also worth considering the extra warranty… the Iomega has 3 years, while the WD has 5 years.

        • The value is in the FireWire, as stated. Some people do value this option, even if its just to free up a usb slot. Unfortunately, an option you must pay for, so thats why its not directly comparable. Closest FireWire drive in the price vicinity is $116+ship and thats for 320gb. Also the Freeagents don't have the capacity leds =)

  • Is this 2.5" Sata

    • its portable 2.5" yes.

Can be formatted for Windows … nice find!

I'm grabbing one of these, can't wait any longer to be messed around by 9289 with their 30 minute sales in the hope that their 500GB @ $89 might return.

  • zOMG insane…picked up 2…will come in handy for the ridiculous amount of snorpogs i DLed last nite…thank you again duwee and god bless
