    • +1

Terrible logic - you actually get 1/6th of a stoke scarf ;)

  • -3

Drink a case or three of this and you too will believe "Liverpoo, probably the best team in the world"

  • +2

    Just a heads up…

The posters at BWS actually say "Buy any Carlsberg Product and get a Free Liverpool FC Scarf"

I went in last week purchased 1 bottle of Carlsberg for $4 and got the free scarf - not the greatest beer so I didn't want to drink a whole case

    • Will try this tomorrow.

  • Which is the only EPL team that has the UEFA Champions League Badge of Honor? That's what I thought.

    • That's like giving a gold star to the stupid kid at school.

      • And to other stupid kids like: Real Madrid, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Milan.

        • Big teams are staples in the Champions League. Liverpoo are not a big team, haven't been for years.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Great teams in CL like: K.A.A. Gent, Sevilla , Borussia Mönchengladbach, Galatasaray, Olympiacos and Dynamo Kyiv.

        • @gto21: Yeah, they're obviously more successful in their leagues than liverpoo.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Yeah because Wolfsburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach,Olympique Lyonnais and Sevilla are very successful in thier league :)

        • @gto21: obviously more so than Liverpool lol

        • @Where's_That_Cake: won it 5 times.

        • @gto21: History mate, won't win you anything in the here and now.

        • @gto21: They've got great history. Problem is you probably weren't around for most of it lol

        • @Where's_That_Cake: I was around.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Sterling: £49m
          Ozil: £42m
          Aguero: £38m
          Mata: £37m
          Costa: £32m
          Hazard: £32m
          Sanchez: £32m
          Fabregas: £30m
          Silva: £30m

        • @gto21: Oh yeah great price but Liverpool are a selling team, top teams don't sell there best players every year. Now the acquisitions board can go spend that on 3 European no hopers that they will sell for peanuts in a year or two.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Like how they bought sterling for a high fee and then sell him for peanuts (£49m).

        • @gto21: Being proud of your team's selling ability is a positive. Go Liverpoo! :p

Hopefully they can get Andy Carrol back in.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Of cause it's always good to drive a hard bargain.

        • @gto21: Oh yeah, I wonder how if Crystal Palace will poach Henderson next?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Players come and go, nothing new.

        • @gto21: it is when it's your best players though at Liverpool it is not, which brings us back to my point. Once upon a time big club, now nothing more than mediocre make up the numbers club similar to Stoke and West Brom.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Player come and go at every clubs even at big clubs. Go have a look at some transfers. Even their best players.

        • @gto21: Uh hu, I can see that Liverpoo want to sell Sterling, same with rats face, they needed to make room in the squad for Lambert and Ings :p

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Suarez was replace by Coutinho. And sterling by Firmino.

        • @gto21: Quality players. Funny how they replaced Suarez with a player who was already in the same team as him.
          http://img.thesun.co.uk/aidemitlum/archive/01692/Suarez_1692…

Are you sure you're a fan?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Like he started more games when suarez left. And have more appearances. Just like Ibe can also be a replacement for sterling.

Are you sure you know football?

        • @gto21: I know enough to understand that Liverpool's past teams have been good but their present team is a pile of poop.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: It was not good it was the best in the league and in europe. Four cl in 9 years and plenty of league titles and cups during that time. No other english team has come even close to liverpool level since.

And most teams who finish above the current liverpool teams have more spending power than Liverpool. Most of those teams squad are more expensive, starting 11 are more expensive and have a higher wage bills. So Liverpool are doing a decent job with the budget they have.

        • @gto21: Look at Arsenal if you want to talk about how a club should be run without mega spending, self sustained, no debt, no mega rich owners. Even Southampton who Liverpool are keen on buying pretty much every player they have. Shoe string budget and Liverpool just pipped them to 6th by two points.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: And for the same reason Man city and Chelsea are above Arsenal. And Liverpool above Southampton.

        • @gto21: Nah, Southampton will be above Liverpoo this year. Their squad will be a bit more balanced this year though they did lose Schneiderlin they've bought well. They're heading in the opposite direction of Liverpoo.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: And you said liverpool fans are delusional. No way Southampton will be above liverpool. Don't care about Southampton balance team lol, not gonna happen.

        • @gto21: Why not? They've got a better squad, better manager and play better football.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: No they don't lol.

        • @gto21: Yeah, they do.

        • @gto21: uh huh, Liverpoo were toothless last year, without Sterling they are pathetic. Sturridge would be off as well if he could get off the treatment table for more than a few weeks.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Liverpool will be fine without sterling. He can be world class one day. But his not at that level yet. He was not even Liverpool best player last season.

        • @gto21: Was it Gerrard? :p

        • @Where's_That_Cake:An example philippe Coutinho had a better season than sterling.

        • @gto21: You mean he's next to abandon the sinking ship?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Like Gareth Bale left spurs, Cristiano Ronaldo left Manu, Luís Figo left barca, Kaka and Shevchenko left Milan, Fàbregas left Arsenal. Players come and go. It happens in Modern football :)

        • @gto21: every one of those teams other than spurs who are also an also ran had many other stars. Liverpoo haven't got jack. Bunch of mediocre soon to be championship players.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Looking at the squad i can see at least 10 players who are selected regularly to play for their country. And two under 21. And that not including others that are selected occasionally . Championship players playing for teams like England and Brazil nowadays lol. Yeah right.

        • @gto21: of yeah, Andy Carol is an international, also Charlie Adam, Glen Johnson. All top quality ex Liverpoo internationals as well you'd figure, right?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: I'm not talking about ex players. Again your not reading, i said looking at the squad, which mean the current squad.

        • @gto21: Firmino - 6 friendlies. 4 Copa America (where Brazil were as bad as I've ever seen them.

Milner - overrated England utility player. Has never held down a proper place as he is not good enough.

Lallana - lol. Paid 29m for this one ha-ha

          Louvren - 20m. Another to buy…

I could go on but we'll end up talking about Rickie Lambert and Can.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Firmino and Can are 23 and 21 respectively. Still have years to develop before reaching footballers peak age.

Milner - free Transfer. Lambert was just 4m, he was always going to start only a few games and make few appearances from the bench.

Lallana - was 25m not 29m. Injured a few times this season. He had injuries in his first season in the premier league, but was much better in the second season.

Don't mind giving lovren until january to prove himself. His 26 and its his first season with liverpool. Many center backs peaks in their late 20s.

Maybe not all of them will be successful. Bad purchase happens at other clubs also, not every transfers are successful. I can give you plenty of example from other teams. It happens at other clubs as well.

        • @gto21: Still wondering who all of these good international players are.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: I totally disagree with you about Can. His still young, 1st season in the premier league, and I don't think centre back its his best position.

England and Brazil international are not championship players.

        • @gto21: *He's still young - Work on your grammar my friend.

I watched Can play a few times last season. The 4-1 defeat to Arsenal and red card was a great performance.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Yeah I know where I have to improve. But i'm on my phone, its ozbargain and I'm doing other things at the same time.

He's still a young kid, still learning and developing. Playing in different position. In a new league. Not expected ing him to be world class.

    • As much as I want to agree with this, I just cannot…

LFC haven't won anything worth mentioning in the last 10 years since Istanbul and still haven't won EPL.

      It's quite sad really.

Bit more related to Carlsberg… Iactually prefer Carlsberg logo on the shirt over Standard Charter.

      • -1

Football fan in England would think fa cup and league cup are worth mentioning (not just liverpool fans). Arsenal and Chelsea won last year, this show teams in top 3 still think its worth it.

        • League Cup is a joke. Chelsea won it yes but they only went for it seriously because they got no silverware the year before so Mou wanted some pressure relieved.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: If it can relieve some pressure from big spender like Chelsea,it only shows that it's not a joke.

        • @gto21: Either way liverpoo can't even get close to that joke nowadays.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Only 3 teams have won it since liverpool last won it. Which is not too long ago. Including big spender like city and chelsea.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: and still won it more than any team record 8 times.

        • @gto21: How many EPL have they won ;)

        • @gto21: So none? Your link doesn't work (like Liverpool's midfield)

        • @Where's_That_Cake: and how many cl?

        • @gto21: You've gotta be in it to win it mate.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: many teams in it every year, but never won it. Most of them never won it more than 5 times.

        • @gto21: Oh well, there's always the crappy UEFA cup thing (whatever it's called this year) and the battle for 6th place to look forward to.

        • +1

@gto21: That's nice, you could cry yourself to sleep hugging your phone with that pic whilst your team takes a yukkin at minnows like Stoke.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: no enjoying a beer and making fun of other fans with that picture :)

        • @gto21: lol, news flash. It doesn't work.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: easy to tell it's working :)

        • @gto21: Yeah, OK. You're as good as your team ;)

        • @gto21:
Yeah past glory, you clutch those straws tightly my friend because your team won't make the top 8 and will be looking for a new manager by the winter transfer window.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Come winter ask a refund from your fortune teller lol.

        • @gto21: Right, I guess we'll see. Where do you see Liverpool ending this season?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Depends on summer transfers of a few teams. Too early to tell now.

        • @gto21: above or below to half?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: half what?

        • @gto21: auto correction, *top half

        • @Where's_That_Cake: if you mean top half table, yeah of course. No doubt about it!

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

You have heard Stoke finished 9th the last 2 years? and last year beat; City away, Spurs twice, Arsenal 3-0, Liverpool and everton twice…

          Hardly minnows..

        • @gooddealmate: in only kidding, I'm being on Liverpool winning the UCL and EPL this year. They're great.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Never understand why other fans care so much about Liverpool. I'm on some liverpool football groups on facbook. Most status is about Liverpool, most liverpool fans don't care about other clubs. If you don't like the deal, the scarf, the team or the beer. Just move on mate. Anyway i'm enjoying the cold beer after work :)

        • @gto21: Because Liverpool fans are known to be hilariously delusional. That's not a beer you're drinking its a cup of tears, lol. Why move on, I thought you said you were enjoying this?

Anyway, Liverpoo and 39m or so to spend today, I reckon they'll be in with a 60m bid for Benteke.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: His release clause is 32.5m don't know where you got 60m from lol. So if Liverpool wants him, they won't have to pay above 32.5m. Do you know how a release clause work?

        • @gto21: Yeah I know exactly how it works, Liverpool on the other hand are known for paying well above for their mediocre superstars so you have to add roughly 50%

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Add 50% that would made the price 48.75m. Not 60m. so you don't know maths as well lol?
