  • Any Dick Smith codes at the moment to make it cheaper?

    AptX support?

Could be pretty rubbish compression without…

    • Maybe my ears are too old, but I have a 13 year-old Jabra bluetooth transmitter paired to a set of Matrix 2's. Those headphones can also be connected to source via wire. I can't tell the difference between wired and wireless sound, and the Jabra definitely cannot decode AptX. I use them for TV or DAB+ radio listening when the family has gone to bed.

Codes I'm not sure. and don't think so.

AptX support? No. Just bluetooth 3.0 and A2DP only.

  • What is the big difference between this and those cheap one found on eBay.

Haven't tried others, but these are working well for me straight out of the box. The sound is pretty good too. For me I can finally stream music from my phone/ipad through my non-bluetooth enabled hifi systems.

      2 areas of improvement -

      1) The unit is very light (not heavy) and tends to lift off the surface but easily fixed with blutack
      2) The blue light (as in lumens) is permanently on and is annoying especially when in the bedroom. Again, easily fixed with blutack :)

      Long live bluetack

  • OK, possibly stupid question, but does this need power??

    • +1

Comes with a power adaptor. No internal battery.

      • Thanks for the reply. No info anywhere about voltage.
i think i would be best with one that is powered by USB.

  • So, I have a DJ set up my living room with some KRK 6's and I want to be able to also stream the sound from my Tv though them when watching a movie etc. anyone know of a solution to this?

    • TV why don't use rca cables?

      Does your TV have Bluetooth?

      • Current set up but hate the long cords.

No Bluetooth on TV however was thinking there may be a solution of adding an external bluetooth in the USB port?
