  • Great watch… just recently got it from HN for 303 (not including the 50off from amex) with a Hrm.

    Very happy so far!

    • I still haven't clicked buy… so… tempted
any ideas if the music control has changed i.e. shows more than just play/pause and skip?

      • Not changed. Still just shows play/pause skip forward and skip back.

        Great watch though.

      • Also does volume up and down.

    • Why would you get this over a Android Wear? Serious question, not trolling.

      • For me, it's because I run and don't carry a phone with me when running.

      • I was thinking of this question too.

Got an ageing pebble with screen tear that can't be permanently fixed, so thought maybe this watch could fill its role plus more. Not sure if it can though.

        • +1

Without having owned a pebble, I have had the repeated thought that Garmin did their best to take as many of the usable pebble smart watch features as they could, rather than try and outcompete the likes of Apple etc. But on top of that are some excellent sport tracking features which are more professional than Apple etc.

      • I run and swim with mine. So the no-phone but still GPS tracking/activity tracking thing works well.

      • Interesting. As a treadmill runner, I don't have these problems. Thanks for the info.

  • Great watch, and for the price is a steal. I have one and there's still a few minor annoyances being worked out in the firmware but all the main functions work fine for me.

  • +1

    Does it track sleeps?

    • multiple nights?

    • +1

Yes and does it automatically-early firmware was manual turn on and off.
