    Is it a lottery ?

    • +3

It could quite conceivably turn out that way :)

      • +5

        Jv's reaming you again TA

        • +2

    Paper Planes Coming

    • -5

But how much will the ink cost to print on them?

      • +8

What kind of paper planes require ink?

      • +1

You don't need ink to make paper planes ;)

        • +1

Well, most people don't - I'm sure there's some that need the "———- FOLD HERE ———-" instructions printed on their paper in order to make one.

Edt - DOH! jv beat me to the smart-ass fold line comment :)

    • and 5 printers to go with it too

      • 16XMAS at DSE on the cheaparse $20 printers…

  • I'm buying a Million sheets and putting them on eBay for $1 Million :):)

    • +17

      What a sheet idea

  • +7

    Cheaper than dunny paper.

    • +3

For the tough man (or woman) who doesn't like the soft fluffy rubbish!

      • better for printing instructions though…

        • Who needs the instructions anyway?

        • @Spackbace:
          people who dont want papercuts

      • +1

Also known as John Wayne toilet paper, rough, tough and doesn't take any crap.

  • Why does my nearest store have to be 14kms away?

    • +1

Because you're living at the wrong place.

    • +1

Cause you live at least 14kms away from Big W

  • +2

    Will this hurt my ar$e?

    • Watch out for the paper cuts. Ouch!

    • well…if you try to stick the whole ream in it will, but if you fold, roll and lubricate each sheet individually you might have a better luck

      • +3

        Speaking from experience?

        • no, just from my medical background and lots of common sense :)

  • Is paper will be the be next sd trend? Anyway thanks TA, you are a legend!

  • Time to build myself one of these automated paper plane folding and launching machines.

If you have a paper guillotine, you can cut them to approximately the size of bank notes and then fill your bathtub with them. Feel rich for only $1. :)

  • +1

Damn, looks like I'm spending the weekend making planes and origami.

    • copy paper is a bit too thick for origami

  • +2

Anyone else still have reams of paper from that Staples sale way back when…? I do

  • I have work tomorrow dammit :(

  • +1

What is the limit on these?

  • Step 1: Buy 5000 sheets of paper for $10
Step 2: Go to the highest building in your respective CBD.
Step 3: Stress relief: Make it rain paper planes!

    • And be prepared to be arrested…lol…and serve community time/cop a fine…good concept, sheet execution…lol

    • +2

I don't know about the "paper planes" part but just by putting down 25kg of paper once you reach the top of the tallest building in CBD would cause a significant stress relief!

So, 95 cents at OfficeWorks with their 5% promise?

    http://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/lowest-pr…

  • Does Officeworks ring individual stores to check stock is available, when doing 5% price beat?

    • Not from my experience. Usually they want to see the price on a website or catalogue though.

  • Awesome deal! Anyone going to stock up and substitute it as toilet paper?

    • +1

Nah still got a mountain of Quilton toilet paper due to previous OzB deals, lol

      • +1

        But you can Relax…with Reflex…lolz

Plenty of stock at Macarthur Brisbane. Label still shows $6 but scans at $1.

    • Thanks. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go there earlier in case it was store specific. Got 3 as it was too heavy to carry.

      • About 1/5 of the shelf space still has stock, hurry if you want any.

  • Melbourne QV has plenty but scans at $6. Next to drop zone area in stationery but not in drop zone area. Asked the lady and she said it's store dependent. Not sure whether that's true.

    • Thanks for the heads up, was going to go here today. Also thanks OP for info - just ran out of paper at home.

  • Looks like VIC will miss out on this deal?

  • +2

Drop zone stuff. None available in Canberra CBD BIGW

  • +3

    Not Australia wide.
    Store specific

    • +1

      Eastgardens NSW scanned at $6

  • It's a good sale but if no BigW's nearby then it's not much of a deal to go 25 km for it. What's worth remembering is that Kmart ALWAYS has this paper (their own brand) for $4. I have no troubles with it in my printers (both lasers).

  • None at Strathpine

  • Drop Zone is a clearance item, hence Officeworks won't price beat

    • Drop Zone is a clearance item, hence Officeworks won't price beat

      Darn it!

  • None in victoria scanned $6

  • +1

OK, I think I found the problem. Most stores (like my local) only stock ULTRA white. This discount is for PURE white. Ultra white still at $6. Happy to be corrected!

    • +1

Pure White is the recycled one. Seems like top ryde big w and Macquarie (called up) have none.
      NOT nation wide!

      • Ahh thanks cwongtech, my local must not like being green :-)

  • Looking at the photo, this is 50% recycled paper

  • +1

    Scanned for $6 for me.

  • Just went to the local store in Narellan. Seems to still scan the $6 on the register. It might be a selected store thing.Someone to confirm!

    • +1

Are you sure you're scanning the right item? The ultra white is $6.

      • Yeah i'm sure of it. Got the staff to scan the same one aswell.

  • +2

Epping victoria has about 10 left

    • Thanks! On my way :)

    • Scanned at $1?

      • +1

There in 5 minutes. Will let you know.

      • +2

        Yes a pure $1

      • +5

  • i enquired all store near liverpool but none got ,all gone

  • Anybody know any store left in southwest sydney

  • +1

    Any left at doncaster?

  • +13

Damn, I rushed to my BigW this morning before work to buy this and … I left my ipad on the shopping trolley in the car park :( Find my iPhone still show it in the shopping centre area and I went straight back after 30'. It is no longer in the trolley !!!

Luckily the trolley guy took it and handed it over to Woolworths counter… or else this is the most expensive bargain I have bought… lol

BTW< Waverley Gardens still has 10+ this morning, the staff even asked me how I knew about this deal, they haven't put the new special price sticker on the shelf so maybe there will be some left there. It is on the shelf near the phone and entertainment counter. The lady even told her colleague that not to bother to put the special sticker on coz it will be all gone soon anyway… haha

    • +1

      Great news about the iPad.

    • Thanks for the update on Wavo's, I'll go by after work

  • Broadmeadows scanned at $1.
    Staff was like OMG
Are there any left for me?

Broadmeadows should be empty unless they restocked as of 9am

    • Thanks for the update :)

  • There's no way of knowing in advance without visiting the store is there? Since even staff aren't aware of this price.

My bigw is a 45min round trip and last time they didn't have the bargain in stock :(

    • +1

Call a store. If they have the Pure White 50% Recycled, it should scan at $1 (confirmed for VIC stores). Issue is they won't hold it for you. If you're anywhere near Epping, they still had 6 left around 30 minutes ago.

      • +1

Thanks TA, nah I'm in the north east on the border. My local is more of a country store so it doesn't always have the same stock levels as the big stores (thankfully I'm moving back to Sydney in the near future)

I'll give em a call as you suggest. Cheers.

UPDATE: None in stock, thanks sir saved me $5 in fuel :P

  • Coupon code: BigArse required ?

    • +2

      flexarse :)

  • SCORED last 4 at Altona Meadows.
    — CHECK THE BOTTOM SHELVES!
    — If you don't like to read, rotate the paper, half of the packaging looks like the ultra white.

  • I might buy a stack and use it as a door stop.

  • Damn, heaps still at my local… but $6
Edit: Scrap that, it's because they're the Ultra White!

  • +1

    None in Sydney West.
