I think this offers the most discount off the base-model macbook (white plastic) that I have seen.
You might be able to do better if you go to JBHifi and haggle well?
Even so, this is still pretty good even if you combine with staff discount or discounted wishcards.

      I did say "or".

      Affiliates of certain organisations may be able to obtain wishcards at a discount.
      You can also get a reasonable discount off face value if you buy them on some forums.

      I'm not staff, so I wouldn't know if you could pay with the giftcards.

    no not 20% off exactly its 10% off (apple offer ) and another 10% off (staff discount ) on the discounted price so its about 19% :P

      I think staff only get their usual 5% off Apple products this weekend, so a total 14.5% off, not 19%. There are a number of other exclusions too.

    I tend to take the prices up to the Apple Store on George Street and get them matched there. Better customer service, and Apple has a better return policy.

    Ends up being only $10 less than buying it through the Education store for me. I'd rather buy direct from apple. Great for those who can't get discounts directly though.

    Any chance I can claim the Edu discount @ DSE aswell as the 10% off? :D that'd be awesome
