  • Wow you can extend your chromecast warranty for only $20 now!

Chromecast is in the exclusions list. The coupon code will not work if you try to purchase it with this drive alone.

    • Cheers my bad!

So I have to spend an extra $20 to save $5. Sounds legit.

  • Good time for 1tb drives, Harvey Norman currently have Samsung 1TB M3 $78 in their Cheap Tuesday sale.

    • I should have jumped on the $100 2TB portable deals when the sales were on an EOFY but I hesitated because the sellers weren't ones I'd dealt with before or it was Seagate which I'm reluctant to purchase after all the bad luck everyone including me had. I guess I'll hang out for them again.

      • My $149 5tb drive from office works should be delivered today. :)

Want the portable drives and reluctant to buy an SMR drive so early in their history. Glad Officeworks actually occasionally deliver what they say. Haven't had much luck with them. If they're out of stock they just keep your money and keep their mouth shut till you ring them. That's a good price for the size though. I paid $175 for 4GB recently.

        • @syousef:

Odd I've always had really good service from Officeworks, this was the first item I bought that was back ordered though. Sorry if it seems like im a suck up haha. Honestly hard to come by stores that care. The 5tb drive was a impulse buy too haha!

        • @Jetship:

I've had bad experiences with all the major retailers lately. I don't think it's just me because in the past I didn't have to spend a long time on the phone just to get money back for stock they didn't have, and I wasn't kept in the dark. They also use to price match without looking at you as if you had leprosy.

Not $100, not too far off…

        • Thanks.

Actually Canvio is $149 from DSE so with $25 off it comes down to $124. The thing is I want to buy 3 or 4 of them so pays to wait for cheaper. (Although that may be a mistake with AUD tanking even further).

The problem is almost everything in DS is overpriced today. Spending an extra $20 gets you nothing but useless craps.

    • The DS "deals" seem to be designed so that everything is sold at a target price, slightly below retail that appears as a "bargain". I'm very careful these days to triple check any "bargain" purchase from them to ensure if it comes through it'll actual be a significant saving. I also factor in that I'm going to have to chase it up for a couple of weeks.
