CashRewards gives another 15% off as this code and deal is listed on their site, so its even cheaper if you use that link

    • I'm really not sure how cashrewards work. Will have to look into this.

  • Can someone help me interpret the sizing on the website, I normally wear size 32 jeans and am quite short, 165cm. It seems like a good deal but I don't want to order for fear I may not fit it. Would I be looking for something like a 34s?

    • You'd be looking for a 32S, surely? 34's a size up. You'd still probably have to get the legs taken up - I'm the same size and height as you and still have to get 76cm length pants altered.

      • +2

Suit sizes are usually based on the jacket size ie. the chest not waist.

I think the general rule is 2 sizes up from you pants. So if you wear 32 jeans, then go for 36 jacket.

        • Cheers, you are right I believe, just checked me old mans jacket and 36 fits me fine, there's still hope for you and me veetor!

    • This is why I've only ordered bespoke suits online… But at $84 that's just crazy

  • +8

Again, I feel I need to up vote this :-)

  • +1

Argh. Hope their sizing isn't small. Bought a suit for close to 60 bucks (is cash rewards goes through.). Thanks. :)

  • Do the suits come with trousers? It can't be just the jacket right?

    • trousers are sold separately.

  • Are the $84 one's all tuxedo's?

  • +7

VENTUNO 21 suits appear to be Polyester Viscose blend. Absolute garbage if so

    • Because I don't know any better, why is a Polyester Viscose blend bad?

      • +4

Creases in 8 seconds. A single dry clean would render it unwearable

        • what type of 'blend' should I get then?

      • +12

Any suit that doesn't have the blend or material disclosed in its description is bound to be junk - that detail is withheld for a reason.

        • +9

Any suit model with a beard that big, means the quality is rubbish, unless he is holding a gingerbeer

        • @ozy:

          Connor Macgregor disagrees.

It makes you sweat like a pig too. It's not as breathable as cotton.

      • +2

        Think Leisure Suit Larry…

    • VENTUNO 21 suits appear to be Polyester Viscose blend.

You're not going to find pure Merino wool or predominantly Cotton-blend fibre suits for these prices. Lower your expectations.

Even at the original price of ~$400?

@Agret: I always respect someone who has done their research. Nice job!

I guess mossbros had hugely inflated their RRP on these suits.

        • +2

No-one is going to pay $380 for a poly-viscose suit, you can pure wool for that price easily. Tempted to neg the deal.

        • -3

Even at the original price of ~$400?

Original Price =/= Actual value of materials and craftsmanship. These are sweatshop Saturday night specials. Like I said, lower your expectations.

Can someone help me with the sizing.

I was looking at this one:

    http://au.mossbros.com/ventuno-21-slim-fit-black-dinner-suit…

    It says:
"When selecting your size please note that the size advertised is the jacket chest size, the Pant accompanying this suit will be a 6" drop from chest to waist, i.e. a 40R chest suit will come with a 34R waist Pant"

So if i want 36R trousers (my size), when ordering the "suit" i order a 42R size? Is that what it means? I'm a bit confuzzled !

    • Don't all rush in to help, fellas.

I believe it does work how i stated. Anyway, ordered a 40R suit as linked above so we'll see how we go !

      • Is that what it means?

        Yes.

That 6" constraint is too restrictive. What if one has a big chest and a tiny waste? One could belt in the pants but they mightn't be comfortable. :/

        • Yes, i agree, it is annoying. I would have preferred 4" diff only but decided at this price to buy in and see how we go.

  • Couldn't access the size chart for some reason, can someone please explain R and S deference? Regular/Relaxed and Slim maybe??

    • +4

Short and Regular I think. S for shorter guys

    • +4

      R - Regular
      S - Short
      L - Long

    • Thanks guys!

  • +5

Actually found an even better discount (and looks like a better jacket too) there, not sure how to place link but the item code is 964851317 anyway, like $580 or something for $84, hope it fits! :)

    • +3

Great find. Looks good, but only 28 waist trousers available. Would be great for my twelve year old self…

      • +1

Great find. Would be a good buy even if you were slim as the $40 you would spend at the tailor to turn it into a good fit still puts you ahead.

Shame there are no pants but charcoal goes great with denim so could just use it as a more casual jacket.

        Edit

Actually, get the navy jacket if you can. Every man needs a good navy suit jacket in his wardrobe: http://au.mossbros.com/savoy-taylors-guild-exclusive-regular…

        • If only the full suit was available - that would make it a great buy!!

  • +3

Good deal if you want a disposable suit for your high school formal

Saves you from getting blood/spew/intimate fluids on your good suits.

  • +1

certainly good pricing but don't know, i feel i need to see the suit and dress it to make sure it fits all ok, even though i get my sizing you never know it could be a bit tight or not
    thoughts?

only 3 suits at $84 and 2 at $105 then goes up from there? lol

  • +3

its hard enough buying a suit off the rack that fits ok. i bought one at a dfo for $90 on the weekend (jacket and pants). would recommend that instead.

    • where about?

      • +1

bossini, DFO fyshwick. ask for a free tie.

Good deal, but sizing is a PITA. Mismatched jacket / pants left over.
I managed to pickup a Zara suit this week in Melbourne CBD for $81.. (Sale) -> Again, nothing awesome, but my good Boss suit pants are too big. Until I get them taken in, it's a good inbetweener that will cover me for now.

    • $81 is still a pretty good deal. Do you have any pics or receipt with details of which suit it is? Was at Zara in Sydney the other day but didn't see any good deal like that.

      • It was the Zara "Basics" label of pants / jacket. In the Melbourne store they've got a sale section as new seasons stock comes in. All "older" jackets / pants were at about 70% off.. Pants came down to $30 and the matching jacket was $50~

  • +7

If you want a proper suit, David Jones until Sunday is having a 40% off already reduced prices. I went in yesterday and I got $1200 RRP of suit for $460. A Simon Carter West End reduced from $500 to $170 and a Joe Black Wool Melange reduced from $700 to $291.

  • Thanks OP, got one dinner suit.

  • Just got a cancellation email saying it didn't pass their quality checks, order has been unable to be despatched.
