  • why was this discontinued?

    • We are only discontinuing the 5000K colour temperature which will get replaced by a new 4000K version.

The demand for warm white light in residential and commercial spaces is higher than for cool white colour temperatures. That is the only reason for it.

1 downlight for $66 you'd have to be an idiot in this economy. If anyone wants a very bright affordable downlight I recommend http://www.electriciansupplies.com.au/shop/index.php?main_pa…

    • Brightgreens will always be better than what you have suggested.

        Based on what exactly

        • Hi, I just had a look at the light that adam149 suggested.

These are the differences between the 2 lights that I can point out based on the very few specs that are given by the website:
          - The light you suggested spreads non-directorial light and comes without gimballing which makes it impossible to design with light or set any highlights in your interior.
          - It does not say anything about the light quality which probably means that it comes with a CRI of 70-80. Under this light your interiors and your skin probably look very unnatural and dull.
          - It only comes with 5 years warranty instead of 7.
          - It only comes with a lifespan of 50,000 hours instead of 70,000.
          - It does not seem to be dimmable?
          - 6000K is very very cool light which we would not suggest for residential use especially not for areas where you would like to relax.

If I had more specs I could point out even more differences.

I hope this helped a bit.
