What's the difference between the H815 and H815T. Is it just the frequencies?

    • yup, you'd want the T

      See this post on Whirlpool

The only Australian 4G frequency the 815T doesn't cover is 3500MHz (Band42) which doesn't seem to be using at the moment.

Here's the official LG 815T Specs
      4G Network
      FDD: 2100MHz(Band1) / 1800MHz(Band3) / 1700MHz(Band4) / 850MHz(Band5) / 2600MHz(Band7) / 900MHz(Band8) / 700MHz(Band17) / 800MHz(Band20) / 700MHz(Band28)
      TDD: 2300MHz(Band40)

As per Whirlpool and Wikipedia the bands used for 4G / LTE in Australia are:
2100MHz Band1 ModeFDD – Telstra (a handful of sites), Optus (Darwin & Tas)
1800MHz Band3 ModeFDD – Telstra, Optus, Vodafone (capital cities)
850MHz Band5 ModeFDD – Vodafone (claiming 4G across 95% metro areas by end of 2014)
2600MHz Band7 ModeFDD – Optus (Syd/Mel), Telstra (select sites) & TPG (have a license for use)
      900MHz Band8 ModeFDD – Telstra (select sites)
700MHz Band28 ModeFDD – Telstra, Optus (switched on early in a couple of cities, will be widespread in 2015)
2300MHz Band40 ModeTDD – Optus (Canberra), Vivid (wireless spectrum), NBN
3500MHz Band42 ModeTDD – Optus, NBN (trials at this stage)

  • Coupon doesn't seem to work anymore?

  • Appears to have sold out of the 815T
