Clearance price or not, in Australia we get 12 months warranty on purchased goods. If the cables fail due to poor quality within a year we're entitled to a replacement or refund anyway.

  No, there is no "12 month" period. The item should last a "reasonable" amount of time. The price you paid is taken into consideration.

    12 months is still the minimum though isn't it? Understand that the "reasonable" amount of time comes into play for big ticket items now, but didn't think it went back the other way and reduced warranty to less than 12 months.

      Now the question is whether "no replacement for deflection" is adequate warning of hidden defects since in the example provided, if a defect other than what the consumer was told to expect arises through normal use the consumer should still be able to expect a remedy for it.
      
      The ACCC also has something to say about "No refund" signs/claims.
      
      Not having a go at anyone, just leaving my 2 cents instead of doing any real work. :P

      Nope, no time period is stipulated. 12 months is just the most common figure that companies use.
      
      A "reasonable" amount of time is quite … reasonable IMHO. Better than a hard time limit. :)

  The reason we stated "No replacement for deflection" is because we cannot offer free return postage. If you live in Melbourne, you can still come to our store and get a replacement in store. Please understand it cost $1.5 for postage to return the product and $1.5 for us to send you a replacement. Hope you can understand.

I can't get it to show this price, they keep coming up as $2 for me. I've tried 1m and 2m. And yes, both websites are really slow.

I also don't think you can say "No replacement for deflection". If the product is not fit for purpose, the customer is entitled to a refund or replacement. Not that I'd bother, personally, but it's still in contradiction to consumer law.

  Same for me. Cannot get it for $1 each even when I'm trying to get more than 3. Tried on 2m and 3m cable length.
  The discount percentage is increasing as shown in main page (when you change the cable length to 2m and 3m), but the price in shopping cart still shows single price instead of bulk price of $1 each.

    Sorry for the hassle. We got our IT guy to look into this. The bulk discount only apply when you buy 3 or more of the same size. At the moment we do not have a solution for this. We will update this to the post. Thank you.

bought couple of the old micro USB cables, they do charge faster than the other cables but the die very quickly. After ~3 months of usage, the micro usb head need to be wiggled around to work. Couldn't return them for the warranty because the warranty only 3 months.

To be honest I'd rather pay $10 to $15 for the Apple lightning system style plugs.

Micro USB never last that long due to the spring, and then you gotta position the cable in a certain way before it charges.

Original ones from phones are better but my last two Tikbro's barley lasted 3 months.

I'm tempted to give Tikbro one last chance and try the new stronger design.

Same, I can't get the discount for the 2m or the 3m cables.

They are showing up as $6 for 3x 2m cables and $9 for 3x 3m cables.
Therefore, hardly a deal considering the new cables are only $8.85 and $10.35 for 3 of each. You aren't even forced to buy 3, you only need to buy one so it's much cheaper.

Ordered 3x 1m old cables for rare use and 1x 1m + 2m cable for frequent usage. Will see how the new design holds up.

They need to fix their website, every time you need to change your order, you need to type in all your details for sign up all over again. If you leave the website, it also loses everything even though I've already typed the details proceeded past the create an account page. Ended up typing all of my details 3 times before I could buy, very annoying. It doesn't seem to create an account until you buy something.

Thx for the fast shipping.Received my order on Monday for the 3x 3m 2x 2m 2 x 1m micro usb. The max i got when plugged in a 2.1amp Samsung Usb charger was 1.4amps charging my S5. Its still good though (compared to the 3m flat micro usb i got from Aliexpress) and the braided cabling looks high quality. I havent tested the 2m & 1m cables yet. Hope these stand the test of time. Would buy more in the future depending on how these hold up.

  Are you using Ampere to check the charging rate? Apaprently you have to measure how much it is draining with the screen on, then add that to the charging rate. I was getting around 1200mah on a 2 metre cable I received yesterday, on screen drain is 450mah, so the charge rate is around 1650mah. This is on my Galaxy S5 using a dual USB Belkin charger (the one from Dick Smith sale) which can do 2.0A on each port.

Yup. Ordered 4 cables, 2x3m and 2x1m. I expected some micro usb plug failures but my first one has already broke! That's too soon! Think of this will be the last batch of these cases I will buy, have literally bought at least 12 of these of the last two years.

Such a shame too because the rest of the cable seems so great now too, loved the material sheathing :(

  Said it before (check my comments) and will say it again - stay away from this junk. Every time we raise comments about poor quality, were told the new batch is better but hardly ever is. Tronsmart from Geekbuying recommended.
