From director Christopher Nolan (Inception) comes the story of ex-pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), who must leave his family and Earth behind to lead an expedition beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.

Not sure if this is $0.99 in whatever currency zone you're in. It shows $0.99 in the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 (can I assume it's in AUD?). So this rental is possibly USD or AUD, or even both.

Also, has anyone else have access to Cortana in Windows 10 yet? I was told it wasn't available in Australia by my roommate who hasn't got access yet I do.

Plays on Xbox, Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8. For offline viewing, download your favorites on Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8.

en-us in the address line suggests to me it would be USD (as that's what all the Xbox store address ones are)

$7.99 to rent in the AU store :(

    • Hmm… I got to the checkout stage and it was still $0.99. If anyone is able to triple-confirm, please report the deal and get it removed.

      • $0.99 shows for me, my billing region is "AU - Personal Account", but I have no credit card on file.

You aren't fooling me Microsoft. I've seen that film and I know that it's so bad that if I rent it you'll never take it back!

    Did you mean: Gravity?

You survive this day, good sir.

I gave you a neg for saying "good sir" though

  • Yeah Cortana is not available in Australia. Localisation and all is not complete, I frankly think it's stupid, since US version understands my accent fairly well.

You can easily get access to it by changing your locale, so I've heard, but I wouldn't think it's that important.

I just let it do its thing. Still got access to it. It's alright, I suppose, but don't see me using it much if at all.

      • I've used them to set alarms on wp. That's about it. Now I think about it, I've let it set calender events sometimes, until I've moved to Android (it was sitting there doing nothing). I personally found it to be more functional then any other ones (Siri (which I've given up using after giving it a go on 4S) and S Voice), though, I personally find the whole thing rather gimmicky at current state.

I like the idea of a virtual assistant, but I am not sure how well it will be used on Windows desktop, it'd probably for tablets I am assuming.

        • Yeh agreed, and the whole phone companion idea I guess. Having a unified experience from desktop-> phone and I think Cortana if developed further will be an important part for that

    Crap movie!

    • Why's that?

      • Because long, dull, maudlin and no acting.

  • Hoyts kiosks has Interstellar for $1 rental

    • Blu Ray?
