I happened to buy this power bank from eBay. The quality is shockingly low and the inside cell showing 4000mAh instead of 5000 mAh.
    See pic:

I hope this deal is a genuine one!

      hope..

Unfortunately these powerbanks are like spigen phone cases. More counterfeits than real ones. Always but these kinds of things from a trusted dealer.

      • Hi friend, good day! ibuygou also sell some other brands like nillkin tempered glass, we describe truthfully. This power bank is 100% original xiaomi official…. cheers!

    • this shows genuine one?
      http://www.gizmochina.com/2014/11/28/5000mah-xiaomi-mi-power…

      your one appears fake?

the battery inside is 5000mah (18.1w)

    • We all hope its genuine…

For those who want to know more about the unit, look at above link. I disagree with the lack of quality as i currently own one too and its a great unit. Maybe you purchased a non genuine one?

      • I'm pretty sure it's fake. Read the deceiving item description:

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Portable-Xiaomi-Ultra-thin-9-…

        • Copied this from item description:

          Description:
100% brand new and high quality
Color: Golden / Silver / Blue / Black
This power bank is licensed By Xiaomi which is a cost-effective export products.
Please note the difference between the Original domestic Xiaomi Power Bank,
This model for sale abroad , so there isno Chinese Bar Code.

They claim its licenced by 'Xiaomi. So in worst case, if this thing is fake you have ebay buy protection aswell as paypal to assist.

        • @siggy213: Can be returned, but the return postage cost will not be reimbursed.

        • +1

          @cheapo999:

No. Once it is clear that the item is not as described, a paypal refund and/or ebay buyer protection also includes postage fees included within transaction. This i can confirm as i recently opened a case which was resolved due to non genuine items i received from the seller. I was refunded everything without question the moment i showed evidence of my findings.

          Have a read here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.htm…

Quote from link: ' The cost of return shipping is the seller's responsibility. For return of items with a total cost of $750 or more, we require signature confirmation'
( Located under 'When an item doesn't match the listing description' - ' When an item is returned to the seller'.)

          Also read this section:

          Counterfeit items
If a buyer suspects that an item is counterfeit, and there are strong indicators that the item is counterfeit, we don't require the buyer to return the item to the seller. The buyer agrees to cooperate with us to ensure the proper disposal of the item. In such instances, we refund the buyer for the full cost of the item and original shipping, and the seller reimburses us for the refund. The buyer may not sell the item on eBay or elsewhere.

        • @siggy213: Good info! Thanks. I will follow this up.

        • @cheapo999: Not a problem. Its important everyone knows their rights. We are covered on multiple levels but unless you take the time to read fine print, you will miss out.

    http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_187685.html cheaper and more juice

    And the $50 coupon isn't really $50.

    Its a $5, a $10, a $15 and a $20

$5 coupon can be used for purchases up to $50 in value
$10 coupon can be used for purchases from $150 to $279 in value
$15 coupon can be used for purchases from $280 to $449 in value
$20 coupon can be used for purchases from $450 upwards

So not really much of a bargain .___.

    • And their prices are not that great to say the least

    • The reason why these are more expensive is because they use different type of cell and therefore are much thinner.
I'd personally grab 10000mAh one as well, but that said, I'd also acknowledge that 10000mah and 5000mah ones are different products.

Actually, these are cheaper, your link shows $18.87 USD.

If you are talking about mAh per $,then we should all grab 16000mAH one instead because that offers better bang for the buck 16000mah for 24 bucks

Though I agree with the rest of the argument.

    cba better

    • Forgive my ignorance please, but what are you talking about as CBA?

      Commonwealth Bank of Australia?

      • +5

yes its more reputable than this xiaomi bank

        • +1

Oh. I didn't realise from the first line of the OP.

          "HEY GUYS, SAVE MONEY @IBUYGOU"

          Sorry for the whoosh moment

          @tf2manu994:

lol i'm glad you were able to make more sense of my bad joke than i could :)

  • Went to order this and with USA conversion and pretty bad postage rates I pulled the pin.

I'd rather find a local battery tank and have warranty and service for a few coins more.
