          I usually drink a large when ordering coffee. If I'm not with my partner I use the card and buy two small ones (for the price of one) and save a dollar or so on the cost of a single large one.

          We don't have any 7/11s near by.

          I find the card good value. It's good for any hot drink too, so I can get a coffee and grab our kid a hot chocolate or something.

          Just because its the same company doesn't mean anything. There are high end commercial and low end commercial machines. 7-11 use one of the better ones on the market. Thus the coffee is better.

          The beans (and how fresh they are) can be a very important part.. best coffee in Brisbane is at the Merlo Torrefazione stores, and it's usually fresh roasted daily (I've seen the roasters working while having coffee there).

      When you put in the promotional code upon signup does it reduce the price to $12.50 before you press Submit Application?

          there are two buttons, first it is submit application then confirm submit.. it reduces the prices after pressing 'submit application' and before confirmation..

    For all those whining, here's the breakdown. I
    got mine for 5$ last year.
    The perks I got:
    - One free coffee after joining.
    - One free coffee on my birthday.
    - 2 medium coffees for 4.5$. I'm usually with friends, so this is really useful.
    Also, you can have one at the time and HOLD the next coffee for later.

    The benefits over 7/11 is that the coffee is miles better (not better than Miss Maud or JamaicaBlue IMO, but still good) and you get to DINE IN. You can chat with friends, use Free Wifi and even do your assignments.
    I'm a tightarse but paying for 2.25$ for a cup of coffee is a pretty good deal, all things considered.

    Edit: Got 2 for friends too. Can confirm works for new accounts too.

        nope. but when you order, ask them to hold the coffee for later. You can come back after a couple of hours and collect it. But not the next day, they say. But its all about persuasion :)

      I find Michel's coffee very weak in flavour and the I find the standard GJ coffee bitter, the Sereno blend is my preference there. It's hard to compare, but I would say it's closer GJ as the coffee is a better/stronger tasting coffee IMHO.

      Coffee is such a personal thing.
