KFC's 24 nuggets for $10 is back.
Mod update 13th Aug: The deal begun on the 11th of August (not 18th of August as originally posted), it appears to be available at all stores excluding Wollongong NSW.
It will be available until September the 7th (from KFC Facebook).

Steggles tempura nuggets (same ones mcdonalds use, but not deep fried) are around 20-25 or 400g for 5-6 dollars.
Do not ever buy ighams tempura nuggets, the tempura, there is too much and its too hard, the ratio is all wrong.

@NoPantsToday: It's rather odd that there is 30.8 grams of fat for 10 nuggets when chicken breast contains hardly any. I highly doubt they soak up that much oil.

@bargainslut: Chicken breast has 3.6 g/100g. The nuggets have 11.8g/100g. Doesn't seem so farfetched that the coating would absorb a lot of oil to make up the difference.

Easy solution; go into KFC and order $1 chips at 11:59:40pm on the 17th, then before they finish the transaction (Provided they take more than 20 seconds!) you can order the 24 nuggets for $10.

Nuggets should be ok; its just offal and sweetbreads, but anyone else realise KFC chicken smells like piss, as in once you tear it apart, take a whiff of it between the meat and the bone; smells like a hobo strangled his lizard in there!

Perhaps you should stop pissing off the people that handle your food, and you will find that smell will go away eventually.
I actually experience what you described about 50% of the time, not sure why, but half the time the meat smells like, well, your description was spot on 'like a hobo strangled his lizard in there'
If you have seen them before becoming bucket fried features, you'll notice they sleep on their own piss and shit most the time.
I'd say, like a hobo, it just sinks in sometimes.
One of the worst smells you can floss out between your molars after letting it fester for 8 hours or so is KFC. I never understood which ingredient was responsible, but is smells more like number 2 than number 1 after oral incubation.
The nuggets from KFC were a bit plain when I tried them recently so they may be missing that magical ingredient.
