As I was getting Scribblenauts Remix free at Amazon which was posted this morning by TRENT86, I noticed that the highly sought-after Goat Simulator was free there too! (This was on the Amazon AU store, I'm not sure about the US/UK stores.)

Buck those naysayers and live your dream of being a goat. Based on previous deals, this app is perplexingly popular. A couple of days ago a similar deal was posted for iOS ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206504 ) - now you can get it free on Android too!

Was $1.29 on Amazon, and is still $5.99 on Google Play.

4.2/5 from 58k reviews on Google Play.

      I had the same problem this morning on my phone. Try using your web browser to "purchase" them instead, and download them on your phone once it's working again.

        Unfortunately whenever I click on "get this app" it goes to the appstore. I'll just have to wait it out and hope it fixes itself in time.

          Click Amazon.com full site at the bottom, then you can purchase it as though you're on a desktop browser without going to the appstore.

    Can I switch my Amazon locale at will? I have been purposefully not converting to AU but I wonder if there's really anything to worry about? Can I still buy from UK and US for my Kindle after I switch?

      Yes, I believe you can change it whenever you want. At least, I have not heard of any problems caused by doing so.

    Goat simulator? As a mother this is disgusting. This sick game promotes the degradation and cruelty towards these majestic creatures. Animal cruelty can be linked to domestic violence and murder. Therefore goat simulator is a child's path to prison. Quite shocking…

      I let my kids play it the other day, i can confirm your fears.

      Since they played have been running down the street towing things behind them with their now 20m long tongues. Just last night they started headbutting a petrol tanker which then exploded.

      You can "buy" it on the Amazon web site using a normal browser. But not sure if you need to have an Android device linked to your account already.

    Anyone else find the Amazon app stuffed their phone? My month old Moto G2 kept freezing and rebooting after I installed it. It's back to normal now after uninstalling it.
