  • so it's save $30?

    • $499 at the apple store

      • Wouldn't Apple's price be RRP?

Is this AU stock or grey imports?

    • I reckon it would be grey import - they normally provide an additional adaptor (converter) with it.

    • unlike iphone, you can still have your 12-month warranty in Au (International warranty) for this iPad (wifi model)

      • yeah the warranty only becomes an issue when the hardware/software is customised for local sales ie carrier settings and 3G/4G modems get involved.. so wifi iPads are OK.

      • Don't be so sure you'll get an Apple warranty with this iPad, ie, if it's a Grey Import:

We once bought 2x "iPad Mini 2 Cellular, 64GB" from Kogan ($450 each), only to find that Apple's Warranty database showed that both warranties had expired long ago.

In fairness, Kogan had "warned" about this, & later advised us, that they'd somehow provide the statutory 12-months warranty (presumably, by replacement oof refund… Presu!ably, extraction of any lost data -isn't- covered.

    • I have just been told (via chat) that it is Australian stock.

It is not grey stock. Model MGNR2X/A is Aussie stock. I bought one in June.

This is a very good deal for an Apple product. But we should buy 16GB storage products with caution. It is hardly enough storage. Better go for at least 64GB.

That is why you need this product. FLASHARSE!

Depends on your usage. Not everyone needs huge storage.

      • Short term..you are correct. Long term….maybe not. The updates in OS and storage space they are taking on the device, does make it new versions to run slower on old generation devices. To ensure the future-proofing of your device, it is necessary to have more storage (at least 32GB) (and RAM).

  • well the new ipad is coming out soon as its been a year already. Having said that apple usually lowers old editions by 100$. So still a pretty good deal
