  "11. I understand that membership rates are reviewed periodically and may increase by an amount not exceeding 10%. This is regardless of the contract amount or contract term." Reminds me of fitness first. When I joined I was paying $8 a week, when I left I was paying $23.50 a week.
  Periodic review means they can up them by 10% every week if they wanted to.

    We are not locking you into a long term contract like other clubs so in the event that we do increase the price, the choice is yours whether you'd like to continue your membership or cancel it. In saying that, we are very unlikely to change our membership pricing that we have set! :)

    I've been a member of one of these for around 2 years & no fee increases as yet. also equipment is kept in good shape & fixed if there is any issue (unlike FF). And no product cross sell or upsell BS either. Happy with my membership!

  The PlusFitness I was part of spent a good chunk of time trying to force a network marketing (pyramid) scheme down the throats of the members. Here's hoping it's not a clubwide trend, because I ended up leaving because of it.

    As Plus Fitness is a franchise with different owners i can't speak on behalf of every club but it certainly will not happen at ours.

  I would sooner recommend Fitness First over these shady grubs, and yes, the brand area bunch of grubs.
  They are all too happy to take your hard earned after negotiating a contract to suit your individual medical requirement, yet when it comes to honouring it.
