  • Has anyone checked what were Ted's prices last week before this eBay promotion came on?

    • +3

No I didn't check. However, 1260 buck for the EM1 AND 12-40 is a good price. Lens alone usually between 800-1000.

But kit lenses are always like that. They're really expensive unless bundled with the camera (or unreasonably expensive). I'm still pretty curious as to the answer of the original question though. I remember a while ago the stores bumped prices on their eBay stores to compensate for discounts (PCCG in particular, not certain about others).

Strange, just checked Ted's eBay site, they list the OMD E-M1 + 12-40mm f/2.8 package as $1799.95. So with this $300 discount, it works out to be $1499.95. That's not a deal???

      • +1

        Wow. Have another read, champ.

        • -1

Ah, sorry, I didn't know about the Olympus cashback.

  • Any Nikon D3300 SLK deals? Can't seem to find any…

  • +2

Not as good as the last double promo, but still decent. Shame there are no lenses on sale with CTREAT20.

    • +2

There was some m43 lenses but those and much more gear all just 'mysteriously sold out" by morning.

    • Haha. And now with the Ebay sale over, Ted's has been burning the midnight oil to magically find new stock of cameras, lenses, and accessories to relist for busy Sunday trading.

  • Poor old Ted is getting hammered on that ProductReview site

  • Is that the same teds who removed all the stock prior to the fathers day promo?

    • Yep, "0 items found" - beyond a joke!

  • If anyone wants to go halves with me (I'm in Brisbane), I'd love another E-M1! So if you want the lens for $630 (I've already got it - absolutely fantastic, by the way) then let me know. Thanks.

    • I am quite interested in the lens, but unfortunately I am in Melbourne. So anyone in Melbourne want the EM1, please let me know.

  • Anyone in Perth wants the lens, get in touch. I already have one.

Try not to support these guys if you can. Removed all the Sony cameras since the ebay deal started. Pathetic.

    • I don't even understand why as the way I took it eBay were the ones footing the bill for the vouchers as a promo for the site rather than Ted losing out on anything.

      • +1

Ted being Ted, who preys on walk in vict.. Err, customers, are only interested in clearing out stocks on the internet. They knew the had missed out on the last DD 10% + double promos, hence these clearances.

    • I wasn't aware of that. If true that's a bit cheeky… and pointless??!
It's still a very good camera/lens for the price. Each to their own.

  • I really like this combination but the Olympus OMD-EM1 mk II probably out next year. I will wait as it is getting really close.

  • Fyi they've added a hundred bucks to the silver em1.
Hopefully a couple of people got a good deal while it lasted.
