      Hi AntMan,
Thanks for your Negitive. but do always assume prices are always same in all woolworth shops. I don't think so.

don't know why you negged this deal..

        • +2

If you feel that way - which is valid, why not use the REPORT function to alert the mods - that way we become aware of your concern faster and we may have made a like assessment.

Mot saying we would have, but its now a mute point as with so many comments its probably not fair to unpublish the deal.

PLEASE everyone, look at the option of the REPORT function to alert mods to an issue. We havent got time to look through all posts with negative votes.

          From our wiki http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:tips_hints

If you see comments that are offensive, inappropriate, is a personal attack etc please click on the REPORT button under the comment

It can also be used to let the mods know if you detect sock puppeting, suspicious looking deals, duplicates and suspicious looking activity.

It starts on a different day and those who regularly shop at Woolies and those who don't live close to Big W will definitely appreciate this deal.

I think it is worthy. Same product but different place and business.

He explained why he neg'd it, and it's not entirely a far-fetched reason. I've updated the original post: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20898.

His point isn't that there's no bargain/deal, but rather it would be more suitably placed in the initial thread.

I'm not weighing in one-way or the other — I submitted the other, and I'll + this one.

I agree - they're separate deals. There are waaaay more Woolies supermarkets than Big Ws. I live too far from Big W to consider anything from there a good deal, but there are 3 supermarkets in about a 10km radius of my house so I think the Woolies bargains ARE worthwhile.

    Agreed!

    I think they are differnt.

David Jones often have almost-identical one day sales that match Myer - eg :
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/19554 & http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/19554

same thing here. (even though they're part of the same group .. they are still competing per se)

Who cares if one person negs ? They are entitled to their opinion. No need to get your knickers in a knot. Personally, I think this is a good deal. :)

Maybe these should have all been posted separately then?

I live nowhere near a Big W and wouldn't have noticed if someone added Woolworths to that post so I am glad it was listed as a separate deal. I'm off to town on Tuesday so I will pick up some cheap books then.

  • Look this is line ball whether or not these should have been posted as separate or the same deal.

If they were from the same person frankly an edit with the title BIGW and Woolworths similar to the one on the xbox arcade (KMART TARGET BIGW) would be encouraged. The poster can edit the deal. And then we everyone happy

But as they are from different people it makes it a little harder to do without the mods being involved. And how do we get involved - SIMPLE - just use the REPORT function. See my answer 5 from top for details.

So understand how the system works and how to help us help you and we all gain.

At the bottom of each comment there is the REPORT function and under the number of clicks there is the same button for the post.

For the record, I've edited the original post ;)
